If Dangerfield goes which is highly likely IMO that will give us our 1st rounder and the compo pick, I'd do it, but really I think we should be trying to match Geelong's offer to Dangerfield and going for Geelong's 1st pick and a player [Gregson or Murdoch] at the very least, then use our own 1st round pick on Menzel??

I spill what I can without doing enough to jeopardise receiving future information. I assume like others, what I post upfront is all I can reveal at the time.

Our interest in Menzel has been reported? I hadn't read it until today, maybe I'm just out of the loop. Plenty of rumours go around; I sought confirmation. Which is why I chased it up today - once I heard about it.

What I stated about Silvagni is what I was told today (albeit not by the person who confirmed this from our end). I posted what I was told and what I'm able to divulge. If you'd prefer me to give less information and only run with what I've got 100% direct first hand primary confirmation with, I will. But I thought it was relevant.

People consistently request people to out information and then wonder why they don't when they obtain it. Happens on nearly every board here - those who post what they here are attacked unless they can provide direct evidence, the exact evidence that would likely see them lose a source. Am I happy to share what I can? Yeah. Am I happy to ensure I never get fed information again to appease the attack dogs? Nope.

Firstly, I don't believe this is allowed under the future pick trading rules.

Secondly, that would make it 4 years without taking a first round pick to the draft for Port. Kenny doing a Ross Lyon number on their list?

Nothing stopping a club from trading away their current and future first rounders. The only rule is you have to use 2 first rounders every 4 years. Not sure when this kicks in though.

If it's for 2012-15, we must use a first round pick this year. As must Port. And Hawthorn would have to use 2...
