Kerridge for Menzel would be all I offer. Menzel no doubt has talent, but does not win all that much of the ball. To cough up a first round pick would be crazy.

It's no Yarra or Torrens but it's just one of those risks our club wouldn't have taken in the past. I've come around but still have concerns about Troy's knees.

Now who could be correct ?? Vader or Rooch??? I thought I saw all games this year but did not see Kerridge!

To clarify... Kerridge did play one game this year, against GWS in R9. He was not selected in the original 22, but came in as the traveling emergency when another player dropped out at the last minute. Hence, my comment about him not being selected for a single game.

i do think kerridge is a good footballer. just too many similar types here who impressed in the side.

injury limited him this season, which kept him out of the team and saw the likes of kelly, knight and atkins come in and impress at different times. i think he would be a good player for carlton.

If Carlton wouldn't accept a kerridgr/2nd rounder package I would trade pick 13 for him, provided we get medical sign off. I think he is going to be a gun.

Kerridge + 28 for Menzel is a good deal. Kerridge + 13 (or even just 13 itself) is lunacy and we should run like hell in the opposite direction.

If they want Kerridge and don't want to give up Menzel on those terms then trade him for their 2nd or 3rd round pick next year to replace the one we gave up for Hampton and leave it at that.

Kerridge can also be very damaging on his day and has the added benefit of being able to play as a defensive midfielder. I would prefer to keep him and further develop the likes of Knight, Atkins and whoever we draft.
