its not him and never will be. Accept him for what he is, an outside player who can do the occasionally special thing.
Good summation...

Other than the Greenwood free kick which was piss poor I wasn't too upset about the umpires.

Honest question FAIRBALANCED.........thoughts on Langdons first game (not being a smart arse)?
You're consistent, I'll give that... what he does he does well, just not often enough. In that respect he and Broomy could be twins..
Looked a step behind the pace, first kick was shithouse, still did a few classy things and a couple of brilliant holding the ball tackles.
In such an intense game he was about as expected for someone who hasnt played for a year. He will come good.
Your thoughts on Scharenberg?
I thought Langers was ok......I would have left him on Petracca the whole game.......I think our coaching staff got that match up wrong.
As for Shazza apart from the kick that was short and got intercepted I thought he was OK.
Our defence is missing a "Sinclair" big time it is very unbalanced IMO.
The persistent talk about umpires is, I think, a bit sad. Our midfield needs to accept responsibility for this. They didn't give us first use out of the centre in the second half, and they struggled to get their hands on the ball at all in that half. It was clear at the start of the season and it's painfully clear at times like these: our offense and defence will struggle if the mids don't get and move the ball freely.
Talk about drinking your own bathwater, Gimp.
That one where Hunt threw it after we didn't get a push in the back... just so bad.
Two points:
1. Umpiring woeful. I watched 3 games this weekend and all were disgraceful performances. Pies got no favours at all. Gobsmacked truly I am.
2. On the other side you dominated the clearances in the first half and should have put them away then (been up by 7 or 8 goals) but didn't and paid the price when the Demons adjusted, got stuck in for the 2nd half and the Pies went into their shell a little.
Melbourne is fairly young themselves, we just don't have any depth.
And that's what showed today.
Langdon had a couple of terrific marks but if he doesn't mark it he is a liability. Was pleased he seemed to be lighter than last year when he got too heavy. TBH, I've never been a fan and think he is up against it when Goldy and Reid are fit.
throw in Varcoe.
Really JB?
You didn't think the umpires had any influence on the result today?

Why is no one going berserk over Levi's miss from almost dead in front in the last five minutes...? or did i imagine it..
Our midfield's performance is IRRELEVANT to the performance of the umpires.
REGARDLESS of the outcome the officiating was totally one sided after half time.
The Greenwood holding the ball was an absolute howler.
The blatant push in the back to Adams streaming into the forward line NOT called is beyond that.
