Inverse would be good.

White would be better if there was a shaded, solid red V extending down from the feathers/opera house. The solid V broken up into horizontal bars with a thin white line in between and each bar getting fainter.

I haven't said that for over 20 years when we were last a shitly run club.

I tell you...................we have lost our way worrying about all the off field ladeedah stuff these last few years, that it has affected the stuff that really matters at a footy club. Fitness & conditioning of players.
Nice facilities though.

If you had written that last year Ted I would have angrily responded or put you on ignore, but I have become increasingly so disenchanted and disconnected with this club recently that I have to agree with you on the bolded. I ditched my premiership club membership this year after 20+ years and I'm even considering ditching my actual club membership after this season as I'm just not feeling it anymore.

I think we are still a very well run club, but I think we have become so obsessed with how we look on the outside, that the basics are being left behind.

How we look , is perfect , it's all about other things , there should be only 2 themed games , the Aboriginal game and a heritage round . We don't need an obsession with games like the LBGT games as there is now enough awareness these days . Don't need to butcher the jumper , maybe just have the rainbow socks as many local clubs do

Let's see if we can fight our way out of that game & stay relevant as a finals aspirant this year.
Deep down I want to trust that we can easily account for a team that has two of our ex players that were not going to be a part of our seniors team in 2025 had they stayed, Parker & Konstanty.
Those two alone opposing us & winning against us will prove that our list mangers, coaches & selection committee have no idea anymore & we have gone backwards fast.

At least NM has been able to win flags and more than us in the modern era , so the real laughing stock is St Scum

I don't agree with most of the moaning but I do share the dislike of the shiny, corporate ethos (which applies to both club and the game at the elite level generally and the AFL) and the loss of heart and soul and community. That's why I'm a huge fan of our AFLW program - you can feel that authentic vibe much more there.

Not sure where else to put some random thoughts other than here.

I don't see much difference at all between last year and this year in style . Think the lazy gaps still exist , where we stop running and we get scored against easily . Those goals in the 2nd and 3rd within the first 15 seconds are just indicative of not being switched on.

Grand final day last year not switched on, all the slow starts last year - just good enough and not carrying injures so ran over teams

1- what's with the lapses where we just look like we can't even get the ball or look disengaged?


2- Why do our forwards and players up the ground full stop refuse to lead. We may get in a spot but players stop and wave their hands and want it kicked on their head. Especially forward , no one leads out and wants the ball in front? Maybe it is right but it just makes no sense to me, create space lead into multiple spots, draw defenders away.
Not like anyone takes big pack marks. We look dangerous when we have guys leading out , but maybe because it's rare
and we just want to go fast quick and no time to lead?

3- Why do we consistently zone off in defence, I get looking to create overlap but we seem to concede a high number
of goals over the top to free opposition forwards.


4- why do we bomb the ball high all the time?
Is it better to just constantly clear the ball or do we need to lower the eyes

5- kicks in either play on and long and wide to a contest or a short kick- seems we do it a lot.


Random observations and may be totally different wrong, but Injust find the plan baffling
