If that was a Saints player tackling (and concussing) Hawkins we’d be screaming murder.

It was in play , same as the Duncan tackle which everyone said was an accident and part of the game

Do you really have that short of a memory or are you a troll?

Really?

Have a check of the review thread following our clash with Gold Coast, during that match Nick Holman tackled Duncan in a very similar manner and it resulted in Duncan being concussed

Not sure I remember 1 post pushing for an MRO decision that would see Holman suspended, but when he was offered a suspension by the MRO the consensus was he should take it to the tribunal - it was then positive comments when he was successful

I'd say that most folks around here look beyond the outcome of the incident and take more note of the players actions - it's the MRO who's more focused about the outcome

Let’s see what happens on Monday.

And before you claim to have any experience on the matter, find the Holman / Duncan incident.

It’s identical. Therefore clear precedent to how Christian grades it. Nothing surer.

And Holman rightfully got off

So how about Christian save everyone the trouble and not waste time by coming up with a BS report

Gee it sure seems like you’re not allowed to have differing opinions without being accused of being a troll. Bizarre

Just to be clear - I want the bloke playing. Clearly as a Cats fan that’s the priority. I’m merely pointing out how similar both incidents are.

Do I think he’ll get 1-2 weeks from MRO ……. Yes

Do I think he’ll appeal and get off ….. Yes

Do I want him to get off …… Yes.

Deepest apologies for having an opinion that differs to some of the leading analysts of the game here on this board.

Seriously, a few people in here need to lighten up. Possibly grow up.

Based on the directive we have been given in community football it would be at least a week's suspension. Pinned the arm, slammed the head into the ground accidentally and the player went off. Sorry everyone, onus is on the tackler and momentum doesn't come into it when the tackler makes a dangerous action.

How is it a dangerous action when it’s a tackle in play ?

He had the ball

Gee you’re game. Be very careful not to tell anyone what they don’t want to hear.

You’ll cop both barrels.

Why go through the charade then when we know the end result?

A text book tackle is now a dangerous action??

Ok.

Not sure people are unhappy with you bringing a different opinion, but more so the theme of your first post on the issue - starting a post with "Take off the rose coloured glasses." probably isn't going to be well received

We just have to go back to last week to see that a good number of folk around here were expecting Selwood to be watching today's match from home after his bump on Sam Taylor - it was a pleasant surprise to see the impact graded as low and only be a fine. If Joel did miss a miss, I'm not sure too many would have been complaining

When our guys stuff up and are pulled up for it, so be it - don't tend to see too many complaints

I agree with your opinion - there is a duty of care - and he showed none - hopefully it is only one week - then Sav gets another game - but could quite easily be 2 weeks - that was pretty violent in my opinion
