That was my argument all along re: Hawkins - that his tackle could not be deemed 'unreasonable' if commonsense and a 'feel' for the game were employed.

I remain unsure as to how anyone could read malice into Tommy's tackle.
Anyhow, its been examined and cleared without hesitation so we can move on now.

Exactly- it’s a good tackle and no malice, no carelessness involved-am just amazed anyone would have a problem with it, let alone carry on about Hawkins deliberately ‘driving’ the head into turf. Sheesh-shouldn’t be surprised I guess. Such dopes. Still so tribal isn’t it?

We all have different perspectives and I understand that, but this particular outcome was an absolute no brainer to me.
I struggled to understand how anyone could possibly see malice in the tackle, and it would confuse me even further to try and comprehend the whats and whys of any agenda
I'm just glad commonsense won out, and we can all now focus and cheer the boys in their march to the finals.

Heard them on the radio today talking about Hawkins 'dangerous' tackle... Give me a break. It was a straightforward, run of the mill, textbook tackle. There's been thousands of them in the last 100 years, and I hope that continues.

I laughed at King ranting about it on The First Crack tonight. It was a football act, a fair tackle. The Saints player handballed the ball away only a split second before TBone put the death grip on him, so Hawk could have no idea about that because he was behind him. Yes, it's unfortunate that the Saints player was concussed and won't play again this season due to the 12-day thing. But I for once feel the MRO got it right. TBone laid a fair tackle and the guy accidentally hit his head. It wasn't a bump. It wasn't a dog act disguised. It wasn't an elbow. It wasn't a sling tackle. It was just a hard but fair tackle. Move on.
