if theres other players you think could fall around pick 12 state it and ill try get a clip of the player.

If gorringe or lynch are available, then them without a doubt!!!

otherwise Lycett looks good as a ruck/fwd and i think cook may be worth a punt as a KPF

Is Darling okay after that head injury he sustained not long ago?

Can't wait to yell out "Come on Darling you can do it!" or "Great game Darling!"

Reminds me of the Cpt. Darling skit on Blackadder.

I see that one of the more knowledgeable guys over on the D&T board said that Cook although a KPF by trade has also played some footy as a KPD.

I like the idea of having a bloke that whilst plays at FF can go back and stop the rot if requried. Ahh David Neitz i could kiss you.

That said for me it's: Day, Gorringe, Lynch, Darling, Cook, Lycett

plz not darling.. think a shorter less talented FEV

Exact same height at 191cm. If he was available last year would have gone top 5. Strong body, good contested mark, reads the play well. Wouldn't mind us taking him. Think he would bring something different to our forward line. Just because players are 195 plus does not mean they are certain to be the best option. Could play FF as well I believe

And he seems to have recovered from the fractured skull.

If he's there at 12 i say grab him.

There are rumors that Richmond will pick up Lynch at pick #6 im pretty sure.

would have thought they would go for a mid with Griffiths, Post, Reiwoldt, Vickery all young KPF options

as well as Astbury

i want gaff

see chris judd, buddy franklin and brent moloney to an extent for why.

Melbourne supporters seem to be really good players hahaha

Darling looks good on film. Classy, aggressive, a good kick, and a strong body.

The 'group think' that a player of 191cms is too small is rubbish. If he's good enough then the height isn't an issue.

Dunstall was 188cms. Yes, I know players are taller this era, but Darling is well tall enough if he's good enough. I haven't seen him live, which always tempers any enthusiasm, but from the footage he looks terrific.

From what you can take out of a yt clip I agree. Not averse to using his body and working opponents off their line when chasing the footy and tackles quite well. Faster than I expected actually given what I'd heard about him. If anything he looks like a forward version of Chip.

Darling is very similar to fevola in terms of height, strength and playing style. A lead up forward with a good grab and a thumping and accurate kick, would definately not be the worst player we can get with pick 12

and despite his size, i think he is 90-2 kg for 191cm he still has about 4-5 kilos to put on to reach a similar weight ratio as a lot of FF and CHF players

some people may think lack of development is an issue, but any young player entering a professional AFL environment will improve significantly

Apparently didn't do much of a pre-season and battled all year with injury so that may explain his form this year. If he tests well, then i doubt he'd even get past WCE at P4.

LOL, you gotta be kidding. Whilst his physical stature is similar to Fev, his work off the ball is fantastic. He is the definition of forward pressure, Fev would be the opposite.

Lucas Cook all the way for me, last time we drafted a bloke from North Ballarat @ pick 12 was Chip Frawley...It's Fate ;)

I like the look of Darling. Agressive hard at it forward, good long kick and good hands, who tackles & puts pressure on the player. Think he would complement Watts very nicely.
I don't confess to know every detail about him but if he had been available last year he would of been a top 4 or 5 pick by all reports.

Darling, Cook, Gorringe, Lycett, Lynch
