Woewodin for Wirrapunda.

Woewodin is just a player and Wirrapunda is still only 24 years of age. Reckon it could be a feasible trade.

I'd consider it but don't believe Wirrpunda has the body to stand up to the rigours of AFL footy. Too injury prone.

With Woey, you know you will get 22 consistent games out of him.

Is wirra really only 24?
**** looks older than that

Woewodin for a tough and FAST midfielder

Woewodin = Softest player at collingwood next yo lonie

I'd take that in a heartbeat. Wirra has pace and disposal which are too things we sadly lack. Woewodin is a medium paced runner which is something we have a truck load of. He's good at what he's good at but we never needed it and still don't. I'd rather play Lonie, Cole or Didak on the wings and maybe even R. Shaw if he can get his head together. Wirra would give us some class and pace in the backline and some flexibility. I'd give up Woewodin and throw in Davis WCE wanted him. We might have to top it up with a draft pick.

No Thanks, I'd Rather Keep Woey.

From all Reports Wirrpunda has the Body of a 30 year old so..

Maybe Woewodin for Salopek or one of the other players we've highlighted that we would like.

Wirra has the body of a 30 year old? We have mediocos who can look at that but you do realise that Woewodin is actually near on 30 and so actually does have the body of a 30 year old? Don't read too much into what WCE supporters say on their board. Don't forgat he cam come "home" and only fly 4 times a year.

I would take David Wirrpunda at Collingwood, but not for Shane Woewodin.

David Wirrpunda might be only 24 years old, turning 25 in a few weeks, but in Football terms he is old, Debuted at 16 in 1996 for West Coast.

Collingwood will have a fair crack at him, but Shane Woewodin doesn't fit in at West Coast. Not along with Judd, Cousins, Kerr, Embley, Fletcher, Braun and up and coming Sam Butler.

A better trade would be chuck O'Bree and Davis with Walker for him, or something like those guidelines.

Why would they want O'Bree or Davis. Also O'Bree has pulled the homesick trick once already so why would an interstate club want him?

I would trade O'Bree myself but it would have to be to a side that wants a midfielder with some experiance. someone like th Dogs who are going to lose Johnson, Smith and West pretty soon and have already let a couple go.

I'd imagine the following could be struck:

S.O'Bree - L.Gilbee (WB)
(We had a crack last year but they turned down Goughy. Lindsay can't get a regular gig this year so surely they'd take a proven but out of sorts on-baller)

S.Woewodin - Pick 10-20.

T.Walker, Pick 10-20 - D.Wirrpunda
(Malthouse has already spoken about what a top person David is, and I personally think he has a bit to offer. With Brent Hall coming through maybe Tex can go)

And maybe as a smokey:

R.Lonie - J.Sinclair, Pick 35-45
(Same sort of player, only Lonie is obvisouly younger. I rate Jess very highly, and seems to be in and out too much for someone who looks stuck there next year)

Thoughts?

Good, but.... Why get rid of Shane Woewodin, he has been quite good this year and is he contracted? if so he is on a lot of $$ a year.

Lonie - Sinclair, Great trade, but no need for Draft Picks, worth the same value. Really like Sinclair as a player, can really turn a game.

O'Bree FOR Gilbee would be great. Gilbee had a great game at Manuka and haven't seen him for a while.

Wirrpunda for Walker and Davis would be a better suited trade. Don't care who for, as long as it isn't Woewy.

I wouldn't have thought we could get Wirrpunda for Walker and Leon, I'd think WCE would be after a highish pick, hence trading Woey for that pick and on-trading the pick plus Tex for Wirra.

I'm not fussed either way as to whether Woey stays or not, I'm just sick of these guys who are 'decent' without turning games, and he's going to be on big bucks next year and I just don't think he'll be worth it.

wirrpunda would be a good pick up for the pies, as would gilbee

i think the pies should keep woey, but he is a sandgroper, has there ever been an inkling, either at melb or pies that he wanted to go home?
in saying that i still think pies should keep him

is there any chance at all that the pies could extract chris judd from the eagles, just throw everything at them, get this kid back to his natural home of Victoria and down to Collingwood
:p

Collingwoods end of Year Trades and things are gonna very very Interesting. Can't wait.

I think it is a little sad that we are already talking of trades when we should be looking forward to the finals - we are much better than our current ladder position shows. Still reckon we are a top four side.

Brent Hall cant get a game in teh seniors at Williamstown. Thats hardly what I'd call "coming through".

He's had glandular all year and played his first game on the weekend.

By Dale61's report over at Nick's, he played very well and had great agression and presence.

Like I say, hardly coming through. You cant sack anybody because of Hall. He's an unknown quantity albeit promising.

Sat a couple of seats from Brent Hall on the weekend, as I do every week to the players, but it was the first time I saw Brent.

Very Tall and looks like a Footballer. Can't wait till he gets through a couple of weeks at Williamstown. He obviously won't play 2004 but he has alot of potential and comes fro WA, so that is a good sign.

this might sound dumb but can we only pick 2 players in the draft and then trade the rest of the picks b4 hand

not really, we have got some actual playing players who might be traded straight up. Ryan Lonie - Jess Sinclair and Ben Kinnear/ Matthew Lokan/ David King / Shane O'Bree / Leon Davis - Steve Salopek.
