Can’t say I’d be surprised either but hopefully notI wouldn't be surprised if Murphy is ahead of Dowling, Taylor and Pedlar if a small forward spot opened up.

Does that last sentence apply to Nank? There's a difference between top 29 players and top 22.
I think you're taking the glass half full approach, which i can understand somewhat.
He's not a chance of playing R1, or he'd have been in the A side last week.
Inb4 Nicksy plays him in every spot on the ground so that he's justifiable depth for every position. If Murphy is depth as small forward then what possible reason did they have to play him an entire game as an inside mid last week?
You’re forgetting who our coach is.Honestly.... yes.
But also, Peatling, ANB and Draper being added hurts him.

He clearly is, last years selections proved it, as has this squad.I wouldn't be surprised if Murphy is ahead of Dowling, Taylor and Pedlar if a small forward spot opened up.
The fact that Nicks & Co are still after all this time prioritising Murphy over Taylor shows they are not successful coaching material.Taylor not in emergencies at least is disappointing![]()

Would have had Taylor over Murphy and PedlarThe fact that Nicks & Co are still after all this time prioritising Murphy over Taylor shows they are not successful coaching material.
Gut feel is that if he doesn’t get opportunity, he’s gonna ask to be traded at season’s end, sadlyTaylor not in emergencies at least is disappointing![]()
Playing devils advocate, keeping Taylor and Schoey here to play a full game in the midfield, might well be better for them than playing limited minutes as forwards. Rotating through the midfield we have Dawson, Soligo, Curtin, Peatling, Crouch, Rankine and Draper. Would be hard to get either of them many minutes through there in a 4 quarter game tbh.Taylor not in emergencies at least is disappointing![]()
Except at AFL level we are playing Taylor more up forward, giving him midfield minutes in the SANFL means zero when he’s behind the midfielders we have in the AFL.Playing devils advocate, keeping Taylor and Schoey here to play a full game in the midfield, might well be better for them than playing limited minutes as forwards. YepThe point a lot are missing is that it's still actually a trial game. Taylor or Dowling should be starting, regardless. I wouldn't be playing Walker either.
Have they named Nankervis? The point a lot are missing is that it's still actually a trial game. Taylor or Dowling should be starting, regardless. I wouldn't be playing Walker and perhaps even Dawson either.

Don’t agree with this really , teams that went shit the year before need to treat these one off games before the season pretty seriously so they hit round 1 ready to go , last weeks game wasn’t the same pressure as this one will beThe point a lot are missing is that it's still actually a trial game. Fair point
