Burges is too young for the Rookie Draft and I don't think that Freo would be interested in Franz.

I think Undertaker was suggesting that we take Burges in the PSD (he's eligible) but I doubt we will.

Hoping we take Surjan, will be happy with Duffield or even Johnson.

We need a ruckman in either draft. There are only three on the list all up. Sandilands, Simmonds and J-Lo. None of the KPP's can really back up either. An injury to two and we'd be stuffed. Unfortunately I can't see anyone who stand out as being a chance.

As many people here have said, I think we should try and pick up a player like surjan or duffield in the preseason draft. But if we do pick them up, are we able to put them onto a 1 year contract, or are they bound to the contractual agreements held by first year draftees. I would be keen to sign them up, but not to the extent that it would jepodise our chances of resigning other players at the end of this season.

You'd think that like Hadrill was on before this season it would be minimum contract and most probably for 2 seasons.

So wouldn't really impact that much.

Guys the Age today is reporting the we (Geelong) have gone cold on Harvey. I guess that leaves us with Duffield.
