So far we have delisted Delaney and Curren off the Senior List, and Payne and Saunders from the rookie list. We are adding two Irishmen. I think we will be delisting at least three others and looking to trade a couple.

One of your "Irishmen" is probably an international Rookies.

Each club is permitted to recruit up to three "Category B" rookies. Category B rookies are recruited directly rather than drafted, and represent players from non-traditional recruiting backgrounds. Players who may be recruited as Category B rookies include:[1]

• International players, who are neither Australian citizens nor residents
• Players from the New South Wales scholarship program
• Players from the International scholarship program
• Zone selections by Sydney and Greater Western Sydney from New South Wales or the ACT
• Zone selections by Brisbane Lions and Gold Coast from Queensland
• Players from other sports, who have not been registered with an Australian rules football club for three years

In the specific case of Irish international rookies, a club may have no more than one Irish Category B rookie at a time; but, the club is permitted to recruit other Irish players as Category A rookies, and may still recruit them directly without putting them up for draft.

We currently have just the 2 Category A rookies and i'd say both O'Kearney and Coghlan will stay as rookies.
Holmes will stay as a Category B rookie, ABSOLUTELY NO BENEFIT TO DE-LISTING HIM.
One of the Irish will be a Category B rookie.

What I don't know is the current status of Joe Baker-Thomas and the younger NZ scholarship players.
But potentially Joe-Baker-Thomas could remain the 3rd international rookie.

So we will probably have 3/3 international rookies, and 3 conventional rookies, leaving space for 3 more rookies in the draft.

That leaves the two off the main list.
Yes clearly we will need to de-list ( or trade ) some others.

If we get as many trades as are being discussed, then we may need to de-list ( or trade ) another 4.

In the running , Sam Fisher, Gilbert, Murdoch , Wright, Shenton, Minchington, Lee , Templeton.
