Ok, to settle my nerves a bit, I though I'd go through a few predictions to just preview some of the big events that might happen tonight.

Feel free to add your own, or answer to my predictions also.

Result;
Pies by 7 points (it will be close either way)

Best on Ground; Ablett for Geelong, Didak for us

Crowd; 99,345:eek:

Impact Players; Didak, Dick, Shaw, Maxwell.

Late Changes?; In: Beams, Fraser; Out: Pendlebury, L.Brown

Weather; Windy, Overcast, Cool, Showers in last quarter.

Thoughts? Your own Predictions?

Result; Cats might get us with the week off, but Collingwood by 13 points

Best on Ground; Jimmy Bartel & Nick Maxwell

Crowd; 97,600

Impact Players; Macaffer, Davis

Late Changes?; In: Fraser Out: Pendlebury

Weather; Showers

Will didaka piss off a large portion of the crowd;
Yes

close matty but not quite right. Im bringing an extra person so crowd will be

Crowd; 99,346.

Im out on a ledge here and predict no late changes.

Dry game until last 5 minutes and the rain pours down and the pies down by 1 points. 20 seconds to go and ball kicked off the ground by Presti in the forward line for a goal. Pies win by 1 point and Presti is the hero.

Ireckon they might play Fraser... but not drop a tall for him. Play Fraser at Full forward as a tall marking forward... every Collingwood big final deserves the double fist pump of Fraser when he kicks a goal that puts us into the lead.

Pendles out, Beams in... and no idea who the unlucky soul will be who makes way for Fraser.

Pies will break the shackles and be up by 25 - 30 points at quarter time.

Lose a little ground in the second.

Win the game in the third and break even in the last quarter.

Pies by 39+

Dids will be amoungst the best - but Leon will get BOG. Didak will win the Norm Smith.

Wouldn't be surprised if Beams played and Pendles out either. Josh though I would be very, very surprised. He ran well yesterday at training and didn't look proppy at all .... however when the boys were doing the kicking drills from one end to the other and having shots on goals he was the only one that didn't join in. I didn't see him kick one ball and he spent the time talking to a trainer.

Cannot predict. Too bloody hard.

All I want is for us to bust our gut and make sure we don't leave anything in the tank.

GO PIES!
SIDE BY SIDE

Result; Geelong by about 2-3 goals

Best on Ground; Ablett and Cloke

No way in hell will Brown go out. What happens if Ottens goes forward? Presti to Hawkin, Maxwell to Ottens, Goldsack to Mooney? No thanks. Brown MUST play.

I don't want to predict the result, I'm too nervous.

BOG for us = Heath Shaw.

BOG for them = Joel Selwood.

Players who need to have good games: Anthony, Cloke, Pendlebury, Davis.

Crowd: 94,506

quick question for you guys

do you guys want pendleburry to play tonight considering the severity of his injury?

he is a fantastic young player with plenty of tallent, and a broken fibula doesnt repair in 2 weeks.

it would be a tradgedy for a player of his tallent to put his career in jeopardy by further aggrovating the break and ending up like matthew egan who had the exact same problem, caused by the club pushing him for a quick track recovery for the finals by inserting heavny nuts and bolts in their.

wish him the best of luck tonight if he does play, but if i was a collingwood fan, i would be very uneasy about him taking part tonight.

If he does any further damage to the injured bone, it won't be career threatening, it will be a "normal" broken leg that takes 6-10 weeks to recover from.

Having said that, the only way Pendles plays tonight is as a permenant forward, you only have to see how hard last nights game was on the midfielders to see he wouldnt be able to run out the game, and would risk further damage through contact.

Not a long term problem though.

This is every magpie supporters dream, except make it happen in the grand final. :thumbsu:

I honestly don't know what to expect for tonight, but one thing I can say is I'm worried. After watching the intensity and struggle of the Dogs and Saints last night, I believe tonight is going to be a hard fought battle. I don't think we should play Pendles for that reason, I don't know if he could handle it. I'm excited though!

I'm about 60km from the G and its pelting down here. Could be interesting tonight. I pray we win, whether that be by a point, ten points or one hundred points. I don't hold too much hope but I believe we can beat anyone on our day. Personally I hope its a repeat of Round 9 2008 ;)

It's currently cold, windy, and spitting rain in the NE suburbs of Melbourne. We're in for a good one, tonight!
