Fair enough call for mine. SKOBS clear premiership favourite with Xavs next in line. Reasonable to include last year’s grand finalist and Uni Blues finished third so that is a pretty good assessment of your top 5.
It's got me stuffed how you blokes name SKOB as a premiership favourite. Just been promoted to Premier for the first time in ages and a very young list topped with a couple of AFL part timers. Unless Bernard's have suffered big losses surely they start flag favorites.

A young list? Surely you jest. They have an experienced group, fantastic depth and top end talent the likes of which has never been seen previously in the VAFA. At last count I believe they have 8 (with maybe more to come) with AFL experience (they had 3 last year). The great man BS himself has previously posted that everyone who will play seniors for SKOB next years has AFL, senior VFL or TAC cup experience. And yes St Bernards have lost quite a few quality players.

That’s why SKOBs are premiership favourite and as much as they might like to play it down they know it too.

They are paying $1.02 for finals and $1.35 for flag at Maplebet.
I'm looking forward to seeing their ressies. I think they'd make finals as well if they could play both sides in senior A.

This pumping up SKOB is surprising. What is not going to be surprising is the moment things go bad (lose a few games) the posters saying they were pumping themselves up all pre season and now looks what has happened...I'm borderline looking forward to it!!! Ps I hope those Jamar to the Bombers do not come true. I believe he will be immense. Will be huge in comparison to many many ruckman in the ammos.

Kieren Harper (Nth Melb) to Uni Blues...........

When you look at the quality of their list there is nothing whatsoever surprising about it. While I can’t see it myself if things do go bad they would deserve every barb that might be directed their way.

Based on what I have been told by they will have, on paper at least, perhaps the strongest list every assembled in VAFA circles.

Likewise I hope Jamar plays. While a nightmare for opposing ruckmen it will be great for the comp

While the grand final will be played at Ikon Park Carlton, why not give the clubs that finished 1st and 3rd respectively at the end of the regular season a home final in the first week of the Premier finals series?

Top 4 will be
OT
De La
Uni Blues
St Bernards

Brian. We get that you want to talk down your chances but you are not fooling anybody. The only thing can stop the SKOBs this year is player discontent due to the number of outsiders (which usually evolves over a few season rather than just 1) and problems associated with fitting them all in under the new points cap.

Xavs the only genuine threat with Blues, Bernards and De La a rung below that.

Fear not 'mio' you guys have so much depth due to your crafty and astute recruiting you'll be there when the whips are cracking.

Jamar does have a big decision in weighing up whether the career opportunity is more value than the chance of another crack at AFL footy. At 32 years of age I know which I'd opt for.

I'll give you 2 out of 4 with a maybe. I actually think you are pulling our legs with this, but in case you are serious, I don't believe OT will play finals, their midfield which was their strength( along with their evenness and spirit/determination) has taken some serious hits. I also think the other three are all maybes. My 4 not in any order OX, STK, STB, and a raffle for the last. if I had to take a punt DLS

Looking forward to seeing the clash of the premiers-Old Trinity (Premier/A Section) versus the undefeated champions of Premier B/B Section, St Kevins.

Ran into Josh Cowan's old man this morning and he is playing at St Bedes. Muzza said he really wanted him to play at De La and thought he would fit in well with their style of play but the pull of a couple of mates at St Bedes was too strong.

Correct. Unsighted at De La since last year and their view was that St Bedes always had the inside running. Apparently found the level and intensity of training difficult to the point that he had second thoughts about his ability to compete at that standard. Certainly has the talent but there is only one way to find out if you are able to compete in ‘A’ grade and that's to have a crack. Disappointing but seems his preference is to reamin in B grade.

Have SKOB ever had success in A Grade? Have they even played in a Grand Final??? Takes a lot more substance than a few ring ins to be successful in the most competitive Metro comp in Australia.

I think you'll find that they have the substance this year. No one's in any doubt that they are top 2 material (as much as BS tries to talk it down).

Dude, have you seen the list? US Dream team basketballers would be slightly intimidated running out against them.

What’s everyone's expectations of Uni Blues in 2016?

Hearing 1 or 2 other key handy players from the outside Vic are holding on their decision to committing to them to get a better gauge after training for a few weeks?

Picking up Harper from Nth Melb is a HUGE get. Probably the best recruit in VAFA so far.............
