What the hell is going on at South Croydon? Yes they’ve played good opponents but they’re not exactly a poor side (on paper) themselves. Starting the season with consecutive 70+ defeats is shocking.

You would think Balwyn will thump Sth Croydon and with Vermont playing Sth Belgrave, the picture at the bottom might be a bit clearer… if Sth Belgrave can get up, they put some distance between themselves and the bottom 2.

Balwyn haven’t been convincing. I wouldn’t write the Doggies off—in fact, I think they win this one. The smaller ground will suit them and they’ll feel right at home.

Btw for their missing guns, they were at 46/46 points when they lost by 100 to East Ringwood who keep on winning using just 33 points most weeks. Amazing comeback win after being 4 goals down at 3 qtr time today.

Went and watched Berwick v Noble — Berwick looked really impressive. 42 scoring shots to 13 was dominant.

Donny East though… where are they at? They haven’t beaten a top side — all their wins are against bottom teams. At some point it’s not the list, maybe it’s the coaching.

Out of interest the last in Div 1 was Talevski (2011), Div 2 was Eccles (2011), Div 3 doesn’t list anyone but looks like that’s the “new” division (as opposed to that being Div4), and Div 4 was Kimpton (2022).
