Each to their own Bedders.
Seems me, Kew, Rovers, Vicfooty parents, kids and families, Northern Blues and Carlton see him differently to you.
As I said...each to their own. Different strokes for different blokes.

Your conclusion was just due to having zero knowledge of who i am. I saw Kew play in last years GF as i like to watch GF's from all divisions. And I have seen them a couple of times this year as its my leafy local.
I have seen Beaser in action with Vicfooty and Rovers and in a few other sporting associations.
So it comes as zero surprise to me to see him smashing goals with the kew bears, heading up a great business and support for kids footy and being headhunted by Carlton and the Northern Blues.
Someone posted on here a few months back that club or VAFA will act soon to get rid of him. Hilariously inaccurate.
Sure time may not permit him to be at Kew for much longer, but that will be Beasers decision and nobody else's.
Play on....
In political parlance that would be regarded as plausible deniability.;)

It’s also interesting how all your Kewbie friends jump in to defend you at every turn here too. Hmm!

As for the “genius”. No one disputes his record or that he can coach. However, there are quite a number who think he’s an average unit.

He lost me when a few I know told me he abused and dobbed-in an Ormond and VAFA great after a game earlier this year. And for something the VAFA legend didn’t do. That’s the act of a tosser.

He's either with you, or against you. Those of us who think he's an ordinary bloke haven't had the benefit of him being on "our side". No doubt he will work hard to support those on his side - including all those whom you have listed.

Unfortunately his over the top defending of all things on his side means he comes across as a dick to those of us who are on the receiving end of his "passion".

By my Kewbie friends do you mean Richo? I dont know who Richo is and I certainly know he has no idea who I am. Its a large group that comes to my aid here..that's for sure.
Yes there are people who think he's an average unit. You, bedders and hedgehog swimming against the tide.
Keep splashing.

Think you’ll find there are two of your Kewbie posting mates who are of the same view as you and many more non-Kewbies who think the “genius” is just an average unit. Scroll back and become informed.

Also find if intriguing how defensive you’ve become.

Keep flailing!

Wow two people who I don't know support me here. Jeepers. Crickey.
That equals 3 of us. Bit like you hedge and bedders. We could call it a draw if it wasn't for all his supporters in his other extensive football roles.
Keep concerning yourself.

Workhorse, Lettheboysplace & myself = 3 posters who agree with Canada on the topic. If you scroll back I'm sure you'll find more who only have positive things to say about him - then you might be more informed.

As I have said on this forum before, people are sick of your bitter comments about Ian Aitken. You and Bedford need to move on - move on from the 2015 GF loss and then accept that your 'Ormond great' in Keleher did abuse the umpires after the game. Looking forward to you two moving to the 2016 D1 forum
Go Bears

Oh AM, I didn't know you were talking about SK. Great legend.
But I'm sure he would much rather share a beer with Beaser than many at Ormond.
I think Marcus Tillius Cicero said it best re the enemy from within.
Disappointing times for SK. Beaser would agree with this. He is a big fan of club loyalty.

Yet more very defensive posts, Canada. You’re becoming a bit of a fanboy when it comes to the “genius”

I would appreciate your input though. I’m not sure who to pick this weekend between the team you see each week but claim not to support, but about whom you know so much. Or the team Maxie sees each week and gladly says he supports and about whom he knows a great deal. I’m leaning toward the team you see each week but claim not to support because they are playing near their and your home. What do you think?

btw I’m sure Maxie would love to have a beverage with you after the match. He won’t be able to distinguish you if you wear a baseball cap backwards and stand behind the Kewbie end goals cos that’s a Kewbie assembly point and required uniform. So, perhaps you could stand behind the Kewbie coach and, in a raised voice, call “bravo coach, great move” on a few occasions.;)

I live in Kew, went to school in Kew and have sons who go to school in Kew. This is all true. I swear on Beasers name. I have seen Kew play 2.5 times in the last decade.
I would be more than happy to say I'm a Kewbie, but I don't think my patronage allows me to claim this esteemed title.
I've watched Beaser in action with kids a lot more. Gun. Got me interested in his VAFA work. Triple gun. That's all. Sometimes you see something great happening and you have a little sneak peak. This doesn't make me a Kewbie...but I'm happy to ride on the coat tails if you will allow me.
Re this Saturday. I won't be there unfortunately. But i'd back the Bears if i were you. Very well coached if you didn't know.

1. There is no bitterness about the GF. I wasn’t even there. The better team won as has been said by bedford many times. It’s entirely your invention.

2. With regard to the after match incident, three people have told me otherwise. In any event, what sort of unit dobs-in an opposition player to an umpire after a game. Puerile and un-Australian.

3. There are more people than bedford, Hedge and me and the wider VAFA community who rate your coach for his coaching smarts but think he’s an average unit outside that sphere – that is his football behaviour.

Thanks for your heads-up, Canada. I’ll go that way unless Maxie can convince me otherwise.:)

Boys Boys Boys

Did the coach kick the goal after the siren to beat Kew by 1 point? No, but he sent the Captain forward.
Did the coach kick 13 goals to 7 goals after quarter time to beat Ormond by 1 point? He refocussed the team, and gave the necessary spray.
Did the coach pressure the Pirates out of the game? He came up with a strategy.

Yes a coach can come up with ideas, but its upto players to execute. A little too much focus on coaches and not enough on the players.

Would have Kew won the last 3 premierships with Aitken as the recruiting manager instead of the coach. I think they would have. They had better cattle.

We could call it a draw if it wasn't for all his supporters in his other extensive football roles.
He may also have many more detractors who don't waste as much time posting on BF as we do.

Anyhow more importantly, I'm extraordinarily better looking than Beaser and also boast an unfeasibly large appendage with which I have tamed countless hot women during my overseas sojourns.

So I (plus AM and Bedford as my brothers in arms) win.

End of discussion, let's move on.

Now you’ve done it Maxie. Provided some real fodder for the “genius” in his pre-match speech. He’ll be fired up. He’ll fire-up the players. Bears by three goals.;)

It’s not either or Maxie. Clubs that have sustained success have more than just a talented team and team depth. They are also well run administratively and have good off field support. Have a coaching team who are good teachers, have good communication skills and football smarts. And a very good development program.

I'm posting this on the Friar club notice board.....in bold....and possibly a very large font in key areas.

Agree Maxie, getting very tired and boring from all parties. Looking forward to this one with your boys. Have had it bookmarked since about 1 minute after the final siren of Round 2:mad:

Agree workhorse should be a cracker and might go down to the wire again. p.s.canada is the one who keeps bringing it up i'll wait till the 13th August.
Big lunch at Ormond that day with Ian Robson the guest speaker.
Good pick-up, bedford!:thumbsu: Will the club still be at the Gunnery then?

Lets all agree Aitken is both a genius and a flog.
Can you be both?
How many other "genius" coaches were widely considered flogs?? Sheehy - weird cat, but not a flog per say. Nicholson - flog. Beverage - gun coach and bloke. Bernie Dunn - gun coach and hilarious. McArthur-Allen - good guy. Tony Paatsch - gun coach and great bloke.
Any more? Who would you consider to be the gun coaches of our time? Hawkins? Lethlean? Bourke?

He's most certainly a genius as a coach, but he's also a ripping bloke.
Makes him a target it seems. But enough of Beaser, I'm sure he wouldn't like the attention. Fairly humble despite achievements and awards. Time to move on...

Mickey-Mac was also an extremely good coach too. Had the capacity to upset though.

Bernie Sheehy in his heyday. Barry Richardson. Paul Satterley arguably the best going around in the VAFA.

Oh! And Fraser Cameron - gun line coach.

I don't recall any of the coaches recently mentioned being reported and sanctioned for conduct unbecoming?
