SuperCoach Rd 12 SC Talk - Trade Talk - Capt/VC - 2026 Fight MND Comp ,//, AFL Fantasy Rd 12 AFF Talk - AF Trades - Capt/VC
Scores looked close all day , the Nodders i believe have picked up a couple of good onesSaw the last half of the St Bedes/Mazenod game.
Both teams very evenly matched with the Nodders kicking a goal with about 30 secs to go to win.
Not sure if the Nodders have improved or St Bedes have gone backwards.

Who were the coaches Jase , i remember it wellI know it's a long way to go, but could history repeat itself of what happened in 2013, when the Rovers after a long run of losses in 2012, totally changed their coaching structure, defeated Ormond in Round 1 to record their first win in over 500 days, went on to be 9-0, defeated Marcellin in the 2nd semi and went on to defeat Ormond in the Grand Final. The similarities are there.
And for the suburban clubs going up and struggle to retain players with the money , whereas the OB clubs have more jobs etc to offer upHampton an Ex Prem B team ??? You are kidding, they didn't win a game and are back in their correct division. This is the problem with system when its 2 up and 2 down.
Both OP and Hampton are Prem C teams. Neither were Prem C last year. Best of luck on Saturday.Hampton an Ex Prem B team ??? You are kidding, they didn't win a game and are back in their correct division. This is the problem with system when its 2 up and 2 down.
And it's only fitting, that the two most successful VAFA district clubs can renew their long standing rivalry on Australia's most sacred day on the calendar-ANZAC Day.And for the suburban clubs going up and struggle to retain players with the money , whereas the OB clubs have more jobs etc to offer up
Fantastic club though Hampton and great respect between the 2 clubs off the ground and the Monders coaching panel from the Rovers .
I'll be more confident in round 9And it's only fitting, that the two most successful VAFA district clubs can renew their long standing rivalry on Australia's most sacred day on the calendar-ANZAC Day.
Not many would have lost by 140 either….
Still spread the fixture out poor Combine 2 games away at Pegs and Marcellin , how's that fair and we play Marcellin twice in the last 7 .The VAFA Clubs don't own the ground, in most instances paying rent or guests. Impossible to fixture home and away on alternate weeks. In our case the school is still playing cricket for first 2 weeks although this year was a bit different.
We take whatever we cop and appreciate the facilities. We don't make waves.
Vultures will be in the mix, but yet to prove that they will be better than last season.Time will show that Ormond won't be in the leading pack. It is fair to say that not too many would have them down as playing in the last two or three weekends of the season when doing their season prognostications before round one. It doesn't help that they are unlikely to be fielding their best team for a few weeks yet given they have already racked up some injuries, but then again all clubs will suffer a run or injuries or unavailability at some stage this season. Theirs happens to be now so potentially they will improve as the season goes on.
Time will also show that Parkdale are going to be a very good team this year and a few teams are gunna cop a beating by them, and Ormond is on that list early in the piece.
That’s very funny. Hampton Rovers was founded on an institution namely the Scouting movement. They still retain reference to that in their name (Rovers). Leaving aside some questionable conduct aligned to that organisation, if going to take a cheap shot at other clubs perhaps do some research first. Personally I don’t think after match functions are the right forum to pot other clubs – be they of school, uni, district, religious or cultural background. I note their next home game is against PEGS. Do you think he will refer to them as the PEGS football institution in the aftermatch?Wow Parkdale , i thought Fitzroy would improve , but couldn't pick that
Once again Rovers lunch and commemoration of ANZAC day was outstanding
Both sides very young , Rovers started with the gale to have a big lead , but late in the 2nd Ormond kicked 6 in 11 minutes to be right in it and then Rovers accuracy in the 3rd virtually iced the game with 10 and even with the wind the gap was too far , but fought the game right out
The Barnes medal went to the young Rovers ruck. It was a great day for true suburban clubs and as the Hampton coach said , not institutions

From club History “Hampton Rovers Amateur Football Club first started as an organised activity for the 1st Hampton Scout group in 1918. The Scout Group’s main theme was to promote football as a team game and encourage self-confidence, self-control and the desire of a player to improve his ability. This is similar to the current philosophy used by Hampton Rovers today”

I’m sure there was some other context to the coaches’ comments and I’m equally sure he would be thrilled that you chose to repeat them here. Each to their own I suppose but I couldn't care less about club background or making divisive comments. A footy club’s a footy club. They comprise (mainly) good people, players from various backgrounds/demographics and hard-working volunteers that provide a sporting a social outlet for lots of people. Sorting clubs into categories is ridiculous.Couldn't care what you think about it , especially a scout movement lol , keep trying
And plenty think the same
How is it decisive , he's not calling them Rex Hunts etc. The fact is that it's getting too hard to compete at the top levelsI’m sure there was some other context to the coaches’ comments and I’m equally sure he would be thrilled that you chose to repeat them here.
