Good pick-up for OMs. Good coach and quality bloke.:thumbsu:

OXAFL would hate to lose the Gazmen now
Great appointment for the club but he will have his work cut out. Don’t have anywhere near the resources of Xavs, or even DLS for that matter. Always been left to handful of very hardworking folk to keep the wheels turning at OM's. Hope he does well. One of the better blokes you will meet in or outside of football. Reckon OM’s are just one or two players short of doing some real damage. Satts a very proud man and the first OM's v OX encounter will be a spicey affair.

As you correctly say there's quite some talent there. They aren't that far off as I see it.

Readily recollect the great Rooster 24 - whatever happened to him - write that Satts coaching performance in stopping a drop to Prem 'B' in a year when you were devastated by injury was the best he'd seen in his time at Dairy Bell. Can coach.

Would probably concur. A few years back now but he somehow managed to a keep mid-table B grade quality side in A grade. In fact his efforts across his entire tenure with what he had at his disposal were admirable. Was certainly very popular with players and supporters alike.

Have heard Uni Blues with Mav Weller. Both correctly located Melbourne University on Google maps so will be one point players.
Wouldn’t that be something. I would love seeing Mav Weller running around, he’d bust a pack or two open. And bring a few female supporters along i imagine:tearsofjoy:

Early rumours Jay Kennedy Harris being courted by more than one Premier club.

Hi, long time watcher, I had to join in the frivolity. I have heard the following information on Premier clubs:

Uni Blues looking to have a squad of 25 ex AFL players, no under 19's and a reserves team full of players who will only ever be reserves players, even if they have won a Liston Trophy or Sandover Medal. In's so far are Sam Grimley, Mav Weller and Jay Kennedy-Harris, but rest assured QG is scouring the rubbish bins of the AFL clubs looking to reclaim anyone with a pulse. Out is everyones favourite non favourite footballer, Josh Green.

SKOB In's are Paddy Kerr and maybe Nathan Brown, plus half of the VFL who are SKC old boys. Everyone's favourite VAFA ruckman Plugger has retired.

OX major in's are half of the Old Carey team, led by Cust and Crocker. Out's are Satterley and loyalty.

Collegians In's are the other half of the North Melbourne VFL team who didn't play for them last year, out's are rumoured to be minimal.

OM's In's probably Dunnell and some of his VFL mates, Satterley and outs no doubt will be Dan Stanford, back to OX!

That’s quite the entrance to the forum HH!

Sounds like Skobs are keen to fill a few holes?

Another forum related question, is The Conspirator still coaching the Uni Blues reserves team? My fellow Pitters tell me he may not get the job again.

You’re an Old Xav, so you must be posting from the remand centre. Did Doug really retire?
Quality entrance to BF from you. Weird that you haven't started sooner. "Suspended/Cancelled" tells me the whimsical Doug might have had taken himself off to the sick bay after copping a suspension? I will miss him just like I miss Brian. But I am guessing someone else will step up?

You would expect he would throw another hat in the ring at some stage.

Correct, outsider was stabbed in the back by assistant who had better connections with the Prez! No player was consulted, but cannot see any leaving as most are OX boys! I just feel for Satterley as he is a premier proven coach who can look people in the eye and deliver a tough message. He had step changed the culture in 8 months!! Byrne may be good with special comments, but stepping up to make tough calls in the moment as the top dog will be the real test here! All the best.
Think you will find lots of player feedback part of the decision.
