Where did I mention purchased water? What else would you carry water in?
My own coffee and my own water from home. Not paying $5.00 for lousy coffee and I have no idea how much water at the footy costs.

I should have known better Mags.
At our place we sometimes bottle olives or peaches.
Occasionally bottle a home brew.
Everything else, particularly beer or Scotch is only ever "unbottled" on arrival.

Before the late 90's bottled water was extremely rare.
You filled a gerry can with water for a long trip and every car had a few old 2 ltr coke bottles full in the back for "justin".
We used to drink water from the creek or river you camped on.
In the 80's a mate and I and our main squeezes, camped in the bush near Bittangabee for 6 weeks at a time with no other water than a small stream.

Modern marketing has successfully convince a lot of people you have to have 10 bottles of water a day. kids cannot go a meter from home without a few litres of the shit.
I spent my entire youth drinking water from garden hoses, maybe once a day if you were lucky, spiders and all.

The world just believes any old shit these days with an "expert" around every corner.
Like Vitamins.
No matter how many you eat, you just shit them out. If you are really lucky and highly deficient you may absorb a few micro grams....of whatever crap they claim is in them.

It's all bullshit.

Too much cash to be made.
Imagine the brave marketing guru in the early 90s for CCA who came up with the idea of Mount Franklin, and how it would revolutionise and bastardise the beverage market. He would have almost been laughed out if the boardroom.
"Why would people buy water when they can get it from their tap?"

Standard day/night of the finals.

Try on clothes combos for a good hr or 2.. aim is not to double up on clothes I've worn to the ground in previous games. Actually purchased a new pair of Gino Rossi's for this week.. will post later.

Prawns for brecky to start the day..

Throw on some motivational tracks throughout the course of the day at home and in my car on the way to the G.. some of my favs..

Overall pretty relaxed on the day.

Celebrate a good win.. question a bad loss.. went about it the right way win/lose I'm proud.
