O'Shea has been really good the last two weeks. Even if he hasn't made the best I'm more than happy to give him games while he's playing we'll to give him confidence.
I would say we need two rucks to run Jacobs into the ground (as much as we can).
Mitchell needs a full game so the sub will be a big point for mine.

If it were 2012, I'd expect to see Redden dropped this week because the Crows only have one genuine ruck:confused:

If Hartlett and Schulz both come up, no change. If Hartlett misses, Moore in. If Schulz misses, I'd consider Young/Thomas. I know that leaves us undersized in the forward line, but that may help cause a few mismatches. I could see our mid-sized forward line, supported by Westhoff and a resting ruckman getting on top. I don't think any of our key forwards have earned a spot.

Not sure Neade should be a sub after last night. Injuries to one side I'd be inclined to roll the dice once more with Mitchell as sub and then look to change up for Gold Coast.

Agree with Macca. If Schulz and Hammer get up there shouldn't be any changes, and I'd like to see Mitchell get a full game.

Just spoke to Schulz down at semaphore - says he's fine. No bandages or anything on his ankle either (had to look as I'm sure he would say he's fine even if he had 7 ruptured ovaries)

I think Kenny's going to keep running with Neade until he burns himself out and then spell him either as the sub for a couple of weeks or in the SANFL. To me he still has it all over Mitchell. Some of his pinpoint passes after full tilt pick ups were sublime. Has outstanding vision too.

Also, I think I remember Hinkley saying in his presser Hamish wasn't too bad but the game was under control at that point so he saw no sense in risking him by keeping him out there. Copped some knees in the back or something. Sounds like he should be good to go.

Does anyone know if Captain Van Illa was reported for his punch?

Apparently no reports came from the Brisbane/Adelaide match.

no changes unless forced.

mitchell should probably not be the sub for the 3rd time in a row although he seems great at the role. im not sure who in the team currently should become the sub as not alot of them would be good impact players like mitchell. maybe neade is the best option just to give him an easier week?

if shultz isnt good then butch or d.stew must come in. 5 and 4 goals respectively. i would go with butch as d.stew is prone to popping up on rare occasions. would not have a tall forward as sub.

if hartlett isnt any good i think moore was probably the best performed looking at sanfl stats. or could go for young and make him the sub? dont think i would go with thomas as his disposal would not help the way we have been playing.

im keen on taking it slow with gray. we are not desperate at the moment to bring players into the 22 which is a lovely position to be in

With Salter about to comeback onto the list why is there such a push to play Mitchell a full game?

Sure he has done well in his role but if it aint broke...There is no-one there that deserves to be dropped or made sub, Mitchell has been fantastic as the sub with his running and short of a serious injury (tough wood) he will be back playing full games in the SANFL in a week or two anyway.

Who is he aligned with anyway?

WWT.

Another strong win, so barring any injuries I'd say no changes. I don't think there's a whole lot of point in changing the sub at the moment. Sure, it'd be nice to see all that Mitchell has to offer, but on the other hand no one has really played badly enough for them to be made the sub.

If Schulz isn't fit i'd bring Butcher in every day. At the very least he'll provide the same sort of defensive pressure Schulz provides should things not be working out for him attacking-wise.

No change but really wanna see Kane Mitchell start a game. The man can run all day and deserves a shot to see what he really can do in a full game.

IN: Renouf
OUT: Lobbe

Lobbe? Really? He had as many hitouts as Redden last night and took about 4 contested marks to go with it. Redden barely had 4 disposals, let alone 4 contested marks. If either of our rucks gets dropped, it'll be Redden. And Renouf in for Redden wouldn't be such a bad thing, because Renouf will do a better job of negating Jacobs than either Redden or Lobbe.

Meh, it was toss of the coin stuff, both weren't great last night and I don't trust either to nullify Jacobs. Rate Redden higher overall than Lobbe, that's the only reason

did you have a david rodan kicking through the wrong end brain-fart moment or you actually meant that?

lobbe was the best of 4 rucks running around the ground sat night. redden had some beautiful taps when he did get it but gave too much up as well as not doing much around the ground. i would still run with redden again though i wouldnt be upset at redden for renouf.
