If the AFL are serious about protecting players from concussion, why not mandate protective headwear eg what andrew brayshaw and caleb daniels wear rather than trying to outlaw tackling and physics and turning our game into a non contact sport.

Are they protecting the head? Sometimes they are, sometimes they aren’t.

If you get tackled or spoilt and accidentally get hit high, you get protected. They Should’ve been able to foresee such an incident.

If you get hit by someone in the chest for no reason at all and it slips up hitting them high, it wasn’t foreseeable and there is no protection.

Agreed. Brayshaw is constantly missing games now that he is wearing a helmet. 😂
Yeah... there are never any concussions in the NFL or NHL either. Concussion is caused by the brain rattling around in the skull. A helmet does nothing to stop that (some research even indicated they increased concussion risk). Helmets do help with broken bones, lacerations etc but not concussions

I know, it’s a joke that they allow Brayshaw to play with a helmet. The amount of unknown concussions he is receiving must be phenomenal.

Because studies show they don't work, it will stop a bruise to the head but the brain still bounces around inside your skull
