tough for vultures - even getting put on CenchFooty on instagram

they just don't even look like they try which is sad...

Mt Gravatt box not great either and got carded by the umpires. Sadly for them they simply haven’t taken too many steps forward this year and the credits that they had in the bank must be getting used up now. It can’t be enjoyable and the playing depth is not enough for the number of teams.

Season defining game this week for Broady against the Roos

Seems pretty strange no one talking about the upset of the round, that no one picked. Also, people had some high hopes for a few teams in the bottom 5, but no one seems to be talking about these clubs, is it because they’re big clubs? Also not enough credit for Noosa and their performance this year, when no one had any real expectations of them -> Just (“need to improve”). Is this forum allowed positivity or what??

If you are talking about the Kings knocking off Sherwood, you are spot on.

Couple of close losses early on got a few people excited, but on the face of it - have Sherwood improved at all?

7 wins last year around 95%
5 wins this year and 90% - would be very fortunate to get to 7 wins again.

Noosa on the other hand have doubled their wins and Grange had almost an entire team walk out the door and only 1 win out of finals with a bunch of their juniors. How long can you sit in the bottom 3 and have 30% of your annual victories against the Vultures?

Noosa were always going to improve this year despite some good players leaving - they picked up some very very good footballers. Saturday possibly their best win for the year though? Might have been one earlier that I can't think of. It was an excellent game of footy to watch, some high quality juniors running around and some high quality bona fide experienced players on both sides. Every person post game that i bumped into thought it was a ripper game of footy (esp if they were wearing Tiger colours... :).

Grange showing what they really should have been doing 3 years ago rather than recruiting half of Darwin. Pretty good lesson for many clubs / coaches about developing a group you would think esp when you have decent juniors in your pipeline. Good on both club and coach for doing this in the end. Will be much much stronger for it you would feel.

Before 2024, sherwood hadn't beat the vultures for 5 years or something like that

How do you define which are the "big clubs"?

Was thinking the same, and they have been on the receiving ends of some huge losses too. Conceding 151 to surfers and only a couple weeks ago lost something like 165-18 to palmy (lowest score recorded in QAFL this year).
Not too sure how 4 of them got picked in the state team lol

sorry, I'd have thought every club in the QAFL is pretty "big"? (other than MtG)

I guess Noosa, Surfers and Lab aren't big junior clubs.
Would say vic point is not a big junior club as well.
U13’s and u15’s top team in Div 3, u17’s second last in div 2
