QAFL 2026

Not exactly sure Stuyd but took over 12k at the bar and good gate takings also. Maybe around 1100-1200?
Obviously no where near what we get for Maroochydore but very solid. New Coaches, new young list probably helps!
What are you charging to get in mate? Just so i can save my gold coins. Do you have a seniors discount??

Just noticed that a few QAFL clubs have 3 centre circles drawn. Is that a QAFL rule to have 3 for weather conditions? Never seen that before. Noticed a few others only have the one centre circle.

I'm a bit worried for Sherwood this year when Fletcher is down in Bridport. Mt Gravatt would've run out around 7 goal winners if he wasn't playing, a clear BOG. Then again im worried to see vultures up against palmy next week.

Also noticed Noosa and Coorparoo looked incredibly far off the mark during their game, with no teams boasting any significant topline talent.

Dont think the QAFL has ever had a skill gap this large between top and bottom teams like this before.

I don’t disagree with discrepancies in list talent this year but that’s been the way for a long time. There’s always teams down the bottom struggling and teams up the top who seem to have a list that at market rates have them over priced favourites.

Its the clubs protecting the centre circle. The centre will be QAFL, one of the sides will be masters and the other side will be juniors. It is a nuisance when doing a ball up in youth and one wing is almost in the play and the other is miles away from it

Yeah aware of that was more so asking about the type of footballer he is
Tough inside midfielder, can push forward & kick goals, goes well off half back too, versatile. incredible leader and culture setter, you’ll get plenty out of him onfield in that comp but he might have a bigger contribution off field in setting standards etc. you blokes play Jerilderie don’t you ?

Yeah I’m not involved at Berrigan but they do play Jerilderie. Be interesting to see how he goes down here.

He’ll be disappointed if he’s chasing a paycheck in our league

There'll be a wealthy farmer somewhere there, who is next week bemoaning diesel prices, happy to throw a couple of gorillas each week to a bloke from Qld to have a kick. Just bizarre times...

Great to see some QLD coaches getting good opportunities in Melbourne. Nick Pearson who got the gig at Benalla was Assistant Coach at morningside last year has also been given the Goulburn Valley Interleague job who play VAFA this year and actually beat O&M League last year.

Also Ryan Thompson who coached Grange Ressies is an assistant at Williamstown in VFL.

So not only players heading south for opportunities.

Yes mate crazy! Almost like a badge of honour to be a FIFO player! Just a wank! No wonder more clubs merging and folding in Country Vic. And local crowds down a mile also. Why travel
distances and pay $15 at the gate to watch overpaid park footballers run around? Rather play golf!

That’s great to see SM. Hope Nick goes well at Benalla! And to coach any rep side an honour particually a well known country comp like the GV. In saying that both O and M and GV no where near what they used to be standard wise. More opportunities work wise and coin also in the city these days and minor leagues throwing huge money at players also these days.(that’s why we have a problem with FIFO players in SE QLD)
