QAFL 2026

Wouldn’t have thought Fletcher Clare in best 50 players in competition so let’s settle down a bit. Whilst it’s good Vultures have a few good kids that look solid QAFL players the key will be keeping them interested whilst trying to be competitive so they see a long term plan for remaining at the club.
No one’s saying he’s top 50 in the comp right now. People are just backing a young player with talent and potential. Bit hard to build anything at QAFL level without getting excited about good young kids coming through.

Personally, I think Fletcher Clare is a top 50 player — he’s just massively overlooked because of the perception that “it’s easier playing seniors at Mt Gravatt.” While there’s some truth to that, I genuinely believe he’s the type of player who would walk into almost any senior side and make an impact. The fact he’s been carrying this team since he was 19 says everything about his talent, consistency, and influence on games.

In his last stint at Mt Gravatt, they were regular finalists.

He then went to Labrador, and they were going well with him in place.

He then had stints in the QFA at Coomera and Cararra, and I believe won premierships at one of them, maybe both?

MtG issues started a long time after he left, Labrador not struggling, Coomera appear ok and Cararra issues are a crazy cricket club and a weak council - so which club has he ruined exactly?
He also had a year as comp manager in Capricornia, where his legacy was a golf ball drop on Grand Final Day for $10K, and plucking a couple of players for Labrador the next year when he upped and left

So what? He used his connections to recruit players after he finished up at one place and went to another? Has that never happened before?
