It is very exciting for both Wynnum and the rest of Div 1 to have you in the competition, but as you said Moreton and Hinterland were well ahead of everyone else and as good as Moreton were I think they would’ve struggled to beat or get close to 6 out of the 7 teams to in Div 1. Even Aspley had games this year they were very competitive to some of the top teams. I do hope all the best for you guys in Div 1 and hope you guys be very competitive, but I can only judge from the scores I saw last year against Moreton and Hinterland and judging by that it is going to be a big step up. All the best for it and welcome to Div 1.

Thanks for the welcome Footyboy. They are not called challenges because they are easy. I think we have a realistic coaching staff who obviously will be doing things behind the scenes to help us be competitive. As SMy said it's about growing the club and building the culture to work hard and give your best.
What would be the normal goals for a new club? Start with being competitive, build towards making finals, then on to hopefully winning a premiership. But those are long term goals you have to work towards. I think our club is very well placed to start that journey and face the challenges thrown our way.

And I think you write off Moreton Bay at your peril as well. Good club that played some very good football over the last three years. I think they will be very competitive at this level.

I see Beenleigh have managed to get Brodie Murdoch back again for the year which will be very handy for them. Coorparoo retaining a lot of their list plus recruits and getting Gibbo back as well. Uni appear to be keeping some of the better ones on their list as well. Saw in the QAFL forum that Caloundra are going at Matt Payne? Would be a massive get for them if so but wouldn’t have thought Caloundra would have the cash for him. Seems a bit quiet on all the other club fronts at the moment.
