Question for Geelong fans from Eagles supporter

Why does Geelong always seem to have forwards who dominate against the bad teams but then are absolutely 100% useless against the good ones? eg Kingsley and that guy who kicked 5 goals vs Carlton McCarthy I think.

Kingslye has been a good servant to the club and has in fact kicked goals against good opposition.

McCarthy just isn't good enough....I love his endeavour and committment but he just isn't up to scratch.

Defending Kent for a moment, he did kick 7 on Dustin Fletcher and 5 on Mal Michael (2003-in a loss). Two of the better FBs of this era.

It's not like the 16th team in the league these days is much worse than the top team. If the top team doesn't try generally atleast 90% against the bottom team they would lose, so this is why I just don't know why they can do it sometimes and not others.

Have you been under a rock for the past few years? We haven't had a real full forward since 96. Kingsley is not and I don't think anyone has sugeested he is a superstar or even a star forward - he has been a reasonably consistent player and has been basically the best of the "fringe" forwards we have got. Don't forget he has been our leading goalkicker of the past few years. He's not a hack but he's not a Fevola, Lloyd, Lynch, Gehrig, or Rocca.

EVERYBODY knows we have had a problem in the forward line for years!!

The news is that we now have a problem in the mid field to match. Well not really now - we have had it for a while but we are now getting found out on a regular basis.

Kingsley kicks goals against good sides, he is just inconsistant. As we saw he kicked 9 against us and got bananas the following week. He just can't turn it on consistantly for god knows what reason.

Terrible forward line structure, woeful delivery and slow movement of the footy from further afield are a few more reasons.

Agreed, he has had some woeful delivery over the years.
