Frankly I hated the debacle in 2012 with your club and everything that went on and in turn hated your club. This season you have taken your punishment without complaint and played harder and a lot more competitively in the majority of your games then I ever expected, I no longer hate your mob, I wish you good luck in future and frankly think Danihers mark against us was way better then Majaks tonight also

Your mob has more strength then even some of your most resolute fans would have expected you to have, although it is a strange thing to say congratulations to your team on not simply resting on your laurels and accepting easy losses when other teams when at their lowest (mine included, and Brisbane this year) clearly have. Bar the Freo, Hawks and last quarter of the Weagles game you have been very competitive and skilful and you should be proud of your boys this season and for all those who braved going to every game this year the most respect from me goes to you all because I remember the dark days when I would go and know we may just get hammered and how much it would always hurt.

Congrats guys on surviving the year from hell. The membership for the year was awesome considering the circumstances of 2016.

The supporters and members are the ones who have paid most dearly over the past few years.

The durability of the early draft choices of recent years like Parish, the improvement in the senior players throughout the season who had to carry the flag, the determination and effort and skills of the fill in players, particularly Kelly and Dea, and the new kids who proved they will be there long term for the club.

You got back almost all of the 12 which is going to boost the side a lot, some are past and future all Australians, you should give Kelly another season imo, he would be in the 22 in any side in the comp and is young enough to be Boomers son (well almost) Hopefully the anticipation of a big year will get Watson over the line too .. a year off might actually have been good for his body.

Seems a little unlikely you will pick up O'Meara as a freebie but you never know, in any case be sure you are in the running. Not sure i would part with pick 1 for a guy who hasnt played in 2 years, we will see.

When i look at the side you will put together in 2017 I can't help but be excited for you.

It's a pity .. my Essendon mates have been buying the beers this year .. got a feeling I might be the one at the bar in 2017.
