How long is this for mate?
Ah right, what is the difference between this and the gold membership? I checked mine and I'm up to 21 years this year, but as I'm an original VFL member(now AFL club support member) I think I am at around 29 years.25. Early 90's was a mostly dark period with membership not yet a must-have for regulars, I'd be very surprised if there are any more than a couple of thousand.

Thanks mate, no real difference at all, apart from supporting our club.Don't think there's any difference other than the title.
The different levels are detailed under 'REWARDS AND RECOGNITION' at this link.

Nah mate it is all good. My years of membership is right. When I said my VFL membership I was referring to VFL park membership. In 92 ish, it changed to AFL membership( to pay for the Great Southern Stand) and the Club Support Package was formed. So I have AFL membership of about 29 years, and RFC membership of 21 years. If you want your recognition gap fixed, AND you still have your old membership cards, contact the club.
For me they just needed to see a pic of the old memberships, and they were happy to correct the record
I'd like to say yes...but doubtful.Any closer to getting an iPad app?
Seems it hasnt been updated in a while...thanks.Hey Stig, according to the 'Tigers of All Sports' article, Lids has played 106 games and Nick Jewell is still opening the batting for Victoria.
and a membership tally updateStig we need some new video content. We're starving!!!!!
Interesting thread, do you think that having RFC_Official around stops people claiming to have an inside source about random crap that never turns out to be true? Or do you still get those people?
It helps for many things off field.Interesting thread, do you think that having RFC_Official around stops people claiming to have an inside source about random crap that never turns out to be true? Or do you still get those people?
We're back on Monday!Stig we need some new video content. We're starving!!!!!
Seriously thanks for working when you are on leave Stig. We're back on Monday!
I got back last week and noticed this too. However it's not only at sporting events they do it. I was at the airport and a bunch of servicemen got off another plane and there was an announcement over the PA and everyone started clapping, and they also randomly walk up to them to thank them for their service at any time, anywhere. It's just not something ingrained in our culture here for it to get to the same level IMOHaving just returned from the US and witnessing the respect they offer their military personnel at sporting events (eg introducing a returned serviceman to the crowd), it's sadly something the AFL nor AFL clubs don't do apart from ANZAC Day. Maybe there's an opportunity for the Tiges to take the lead on this front and find an opportunity for a member of the military at our home games? In my eyes this could be a nice touch and well respected by the broader community!

Without disrespecting their service, it's because America spends 10x at least on military and market it through sporting events etc. If done respectfully then I don't mind it being a part of the game. It's one reason ANZAC Day games are so special, because we don't lower its meaning through other days. Hard balance.Having just returned from the US and witnessing the respect they offer their military personnel at sporting events (eg introducing a returned serviceman to the crowd), it's sadly something the AFL nor AFL clubs don't do apart from ANZAC Day. We will be doing that for our Anzac Eve game and hope to be making that game a tradition.Having just returned from the US and witnessing the respect they offer their military personnel at sporting events (eg introducing a returned serviceman to the crowd), it's sadly something the AFL nor AFL clubs don't do apart from ANZAC Day.
