Oh right. I meant in the future when Seedsman is fit. Actually if Smith's form keeps up, he'd be out first.

In the second sentence I said unchanged
Yes .......but your teeth were grinding when you typed it ;)

Haha not quite. There were three players categorically worse than Mackay by a fair bit: Jenkins, Lever and Smith.

Mackay was in the next band of players. He sat among guys who were passable but not damaging. I'd also have Talia, Brown, Cheney, Thompson, Douglas' second half, Jacobs last three quarters in that group.

I thought Mackay was very instrumental in the game in that last qtr ......first half he was fumbling every ball in close

I agree he did some good things in the last quarter. That goal he conceded was pure shit, but he was good in the contest and had some crucial tap ons to advantage

Seriously... Drop Mackay??? You idiots see one or two clangers a game and crucify him.

Compared to others that make 2 clangers a game and still add value. You must be one of the selectors yeah?

I see one or two non clangers a game and a myriad of shit things that stats don't reveal--- e.g. Tackling- Ill bet my left nut the double tackle where Brown received the free kick (he made the tackle) and Mookay chimed in at the end:rolleyes: counted for 1 tackle
The other tackle stat didn't even pin the arms so Melbourne player gets off a neat handball:rolleyes: counted for 2 tackles....arghhhhhhhhhh!

His 15 metre passes hitting a player next in line up the ground are not to be marvelled at either. He doesn't seem to be able to see 'layers' of crow players where the 30 metre pass would've been a better option. He's a dud.
Stats don't show everything.

In: Doedee
Out: Mackay - smith moves to a wing

Whilst Mackay probably hit his higher end output range and in isolation won't get dropped on form, I'd be inclined to give this a go. It could very well improve us by a couple more goals per game. Doedee looks the goods to me. A class above in the 2 SANFL games I've seen and the reports in here have been consistently good over the last 2 months. Should play and that's the move I'd make to get his talent in and see what he brings.

Lever was atrocious. I wouldn't be dropping him on the basis of one bad game, but he wouldn't want to serve that up 2 weeks in a row.

Does thommo stay home this week and CEY comes in after so many consistent games in the 2's? Hopefully seed back for pies

Only way CEY plays is with an injury to a number of player.

Henderson would be next in line, then I can see Milera, Doedee, Wigg and even Kelly playing before CEY.

I don't think they have any intention of giving him a game.

4th for disposals today. 4th for most effective disposals out of all Crows. 7th best ED%. 1st in R50's. 3rd in clearances. 6th for tackles.

If you are dropping on form - Smith makes way well before David.

Not quite old mate. Equal 7th and 8th for disposals with Rat. Of the mids, only Thommo had lesser numbers. and a few ahead run 10% less TOG. But you keep lugging away based on stats alone. Definitely the least of our players in the area that he plays. That's indisputable.
