Let's be honest, we don't really need to worry too much about Carlton's forwardline.
So we go complete offence with more dash/pace from HBF, go for the percentage!
At least Hendo has offensive weapons unlike VB.

Ricky is back! Nice hope he nails his chance. All you flogs that said he wasn't coming back and i was just a fanboi suck it up :p

Is that incorrect? :p You're just about the only regular contributor who has any sort of genuine enthusiasm for Henderson as an AFL player.

Why do I have a nagging feeling Wright is going to kick 4 on us....... and Kerridge 6 in a display of how he played against the Kangas but we still get up for the win.

So they've gone with the best performed SANFL player, no issues with that. They obviously want his run and carry on the open spaces of G.

Interesting we don't have the whole ' Seedman would be better off seeking a trade' like we did when the Crouch boys weren't selected after injury.

I don't get it. Does this mean Seed isn't best 22 anymore? He doesn't need to play SANFL after not playing for 3 weeks. Hendo is Hendo and won't keep his spot in the team. I don't get it.

Is Harrison Wigg ever going to get a game? In the small to medium defender department, he seems to be behind Laird, Brown, Cheney, Henderson, Kelly and van Berlo, with Doedee also likely to overtake him soon. Surely Wigg is the most like-for-like replacement for Laird/Brown...

My prediction is that Henderson will have 20 ineffectual touches but will stay in the side on the quantity rather than quality of his disposals.

The problem is Hendo is Hendo and therefore will keep his spot in the team until we play Geelong and he will be found out.

Seed is best 22 every day of the week over Hendo. Makes no sense unless Seed isn't 100% and the Crows want him to come back via the SANFL.

Lyons is one injury away. Possibly more, depending on how the selectors view Menzel, Knight & Hampton. We really don't have enough information to make that call.

Mackay is in the 22, no injuries required. With the same proviso applied about Menzel, Knight & Hampton.

There are no inside mids injured that Lyons is replacing. However, there are 3 players injured or otherwise not yet fit enough who could play ahead of Mackay on the wing. Plus a rookie with a handful of games. No such challengers to Lyons position. Except for your own desire to adjust the mix, which you have no idea whether the coaches still have the same view.

Would much prefer Seedsman to Hendo. Here's hoping that Henderson doesn't maintain his spot until the Geelong game as I just don't trust him as a defender anymore.

This is from the club's changes post:

"The Crows match committee decided that Seedsman, who has missed three weeks with a hamstring strain, should return via the SANFL."
Hasn't he only missed 2 weeks? 2 games, plus the bye, I guess...

Still think bringing Henderson in is a massive mistake. It's not going to cost us the game, because I think we'll be far too good for Carlton. It's still a handicap we don't need to be giving ourselves.

Which is fair enough. DMac did after his hamstring. Can manage his minutes if needed.

You are a fanboi.. but I never said he wouldn't be back. Unlike many others, who said that his cards were marked, I did note that he was consistently named on the emergency list and was only a few injuries away from returning.

The selectors are being consistent. Mackay missed 3 weeks and they made him come back via the SANFL as well. I wouldn't read anything into it, other than them wanting to give him a run to make sure he's 100% match fit after 3 weeks of not playing.

** I'd prefer to see Seedsman brought straight back in, but they do have precedents for doing it this way.

Seedsman isn't a mid? An outside mid, yes, but still a mid.
