It was such a battle to get this board that I thought we needed to make it a bit more active.
So let's start with some trivia, you know the deal,if you get it right you get to ask the next one.

Let's start with a simple one:
Who was the sire of Saintly?

Seth.

No,I remember now,Penghulu.

Karasi was the first Australian horse home in the 2001 Melb Cup
(Yes I know he was originally an import)

Who rode him?

Seth.

Karasi was an Irish horse. He was ridden by a jockey named Boss (I think). I can’t remember his first name. I wouldn’t know too much about Aussie horse racing – Just the M.C.

If my above answer is right, the following is my question. If it's wrong, ignore this.

Name Michael Dickinson's 'Famous Five' - Horses & Jockeys.

The Toorak!

Penghulu did win the 97 Toorak!!!!

I think it might be won by a very in-form grey this year as well!!!!

Glen Boss was Karasi's Jockey in the Cup last year!!!! Would have run third at huge huge odds if it werent for one of the strongest 2 milers in the world battling on in front of him. I have actually heard that at the tender age of 9 Persian Punch will be retired from Racing!!!!
Although he never won The Big Race! His Two attempts were nothing short of sensational! He should have won it in 98 if it werent for a jockeys decision to go to the inside in the straight after being planted 3 wide most of the trip. Was 3 wide most of the trip last year also!!!!!!!

Which Group 1 Race did Tie The Knot win in Melbourne (He Rarely won in Melbourne) in 1998? Which horse ran second in this race at 125/1 and went on to bigger and better things that spring!

I like Platinum Scissors tomorrow in Sydney!!!!!

It was one of the Wfa races at Caulfield, maybe the Underwood?
The horse that ran second was Jezabeel, once again re-inforcing the theory that you need WFA form to win the big one nowadays.

Seth.

New question on the Melb Cup theme:

Name the horse that refused to go to the barrier in the 2000 Cup?

Seth.

I was actually going to trump you all with 'name the entire field for the 1992 Cox Plate.

Palace Reign fell
Naturalism and Sydeston lost their riders (D Oliver and N Wilson)
Rough Habit was knocked out of the race

The others (from memory) were Super Impose. Let's Elope, Better Loosen Up, Prince Salieri, Kinjite, Slight Chance, Mannerism, Coronation Day, Muirfield Village and one more who I can't bloody think of. Another 3YO maybe?

I suppose I better put a question:

Which horse is the only horse to have won both the Moonee Valley and Sandown Cup double in the same year?

Is it Sydeston??

Got a feeling the only Cup it didn't win that year was the one I backed it in,Caulfield behind Cole Diesel.

Seth.

On the Cole Diesel theme, who rode it to victory at Caulfield?

Seth

Burst

Not Sure who rode Cole Diesel!!!

Burst was the other horse you couldnt think of from The 92 Cox Plate! What a race that was!

A Golden Slipper Winner!!!
