Its all opinion and beliefs. For instance Im guessing you voted yes for gay marrige so the 30 odd percent of people that voted no disagreed with you and theyre entitled to their opinion just like you are. Theyre wrong in your eyes and youre wrong in their eyes.
this is meaningless garble mate

beliefs and opinions mean something and have real implications

yeah, no shit.

you’re digressing from the point to make some pseudointellectual point of how there is no right and wrong because right and wrong is a perception thing.

in which case hey, let’s let paedophiles do what they want because in their eyes, it’s not wrong. let’s let wife beaters carry on in their ways because in their eyes, it’s her fault.

like - what point are you even trying to make?

Im just trying to make you see it from another point of view that is all.

thank you for enlightening me - before i was just a biased one-eyed person who only sees one side of the argument. but now, i'm a balanced person who can see both sides of the argument and now know that just because someone thinks something is wrong, doesn't mean someone else sees it as wrong.

From what I read over the last couple of hours I thought you needed to be enlightened so you are welcome

I for one am glad we have JKI here to tell us that other people have points of view and those points of view are valid even if they are dangerous and moronic.

Freedom of speech says that Grandsun has the right to air his bigoted world views. Freedom of speech also says that the thinking man has the right to call out Grandsun on his bigoted views. End of.

Let's change subjects... what subjects did you/currently study at school
Okay, “let’s feed the animal”.
VCE (2011-12) English, Methods, Further, Legal, Accounting, Chem (Yr11).
Dropped out of Economics/Accounting at uni and have just finished a Media Comms undergrad. Starting my post grad this year, while also producing my own webseries.

Back in high school grade 12 - 2015 - studied English, Maths A, Drama, Economics, Religion & Ethics, Geography and Legal Studies. Studied a Bachelor of Commerce for the last 2 years @ uni, realised that I was gonna suck in my 3rd year and switched to a degree in Government & International Relations

Maths, English Lit, Physics, Sport Science, Applied IT & Cert III in Media (Film)

And for anyone who attends a high school where you have to pick between Religion & Ethics or Study of Religion - unless you wanna study theology @ uni, for god's sake do Religion & Ethics - SOR is really hard. REE.........isn't. I don't remember doing any work in my REE class - for one assignment we got to watch Revenge of the Sith!

Year 12 is becoming a distant memory but I did English, maths methods, spec maths, physics, chemistry, and VET multimedia in year 11 (basically ****ing around with Adobe CS, would be great for anyone on this board who hasn't done their VCE yet)

Now I'm one semester away from finally being done with my undergrad, will be walking away with degrees in physics and business management after starting an electrical engineering degree. Aim is to start a PhD in medical physics in 2020.

I wonder if the outcomes of the royal commission have had an impact on the syllabus for Religion & Ethics
IDK probably not. TBH most of the stuff we did was based around morals, ethics etc. (by 'did' I mean had the teacher talk about it while we all did whatever we wanted on our laptops/watched a movie. I don't remember anyone doing work in my REE class - all the assignments were my lowest priority and were hastily written up the night before - hell I even remember one classmate writing an assignment the lunch before it was due and still getting a B (REE was the first class straight after lunch).

Haha yeah I did R&E. It was a glorified bludge class. I was in Year 12 in 2012 and it was the one and only year where our grade got laptops to take home and 'own' for a year. They were those old white MacBooks but they were cool. Everyone passed around a USB of games at the start of the year and it totally contributed to my marks/lack thereof.

In terms of VCE subjects I did English, Phys Ed, Lit, Media, General Maths, R&E. Completed a Bachelor of Arts (Media & Communication) w/ Distinction at uni and am now working full-time in my field :)

I had laptop to “own” from Yr 9, at least that’s when I joined the school. During RE in Yr 9, we would play games like TM Nations and Counter Strike on LAN servers with classes adjoining our room. RE wasn’t compulsory after that.

Maths, Accounting, Phys Ed, IT, English. My wife did the Asian 5.

Funny looking back, would have done totally different subjects. Also once you get into fulltime work you realise that your TER and GPA mean sweet FA.
