No, but I do expect a level of maturity similiar to if I was here. Which means not creating many duplicate threads like what happened the last couple of days. The FGD board is in my opinion one of the best boards in BF in terms of maturity, entertainment, and intelligence. We have a strong reputation around the site, and what happened was not becoming of this.
I think the multiple threads had some degree of comedy.

The immaturity on this board comes from 13 year old, or illiterate, posters. "Age your age" and "that jumper is bad what have Puma done" is the type of recurring 'intellect' around these parts.

Typos happen to everybody.

So... Anyone see any good movies lately?

I've heard good things, but it seems to attract the try-hard indie crowd. Eh.
Have you seen this?

So I turn 18 the day uni orientation starts. I'm living on campus. We get a student ID basically the day we get to uni...

So, I ask, would the uni ID at the uni tavern work? Surely it would?

Okay. Cheers.

Has anyone used a Proof of Age card before? Are they usually reliable? It does seem they're up there with a license and passport.

Yeh POA cards are pretty good, I used one at leavers with no problems.

What uni?

So you think you're better than me?

This is a terrible question. But what should one take to university, that is, for on-campus living (food not supplied, with seven other people)?

Well I have two weeks until I'm 'legal', and then a week until I'll get my passport or proof of age card. So I'll probably have to buy a couple of cartons.

I'm not nervous, but I'm going without any friends (they all have gap years, which I'm not interested in). Surely everyone's just in the same boat, right?

UWA cards don't do D.O.B.
However if the Curtin Tavern is like our Tav, you'll find there are times of the day it is quite lax.

Proof of Age is what I - and everyone without a licence - use; but it took well over the 'week' they said to get to me. And, as you probably know, the licencing centres are hell.

Just use your passport for the first fortnight or so. At least you'll drink responsibly those first few times knowing an important legal document is on your person... amirite? :p

We had mates that had snuck in so much, the guy at the door would just let them in because he assumed they were over 18 :p

I don't have a passport. And the Curtin IDs don't have a DOB either, so I've just figured out.

So how long would you anticipate it'd take to fully complete, and receive, my proof of age card?

I just went to the licensing centre and filled out a form (you have to take some documents to prove that you are who you say you are)and got my picture taken and then I recieved the card in the mail about 5 days later, pretty easy.

Yeah, I've read about the documentation and everything. But thanks a lot.

This might be a stupid question. But you obviously need to be 18 to ask for a proof of age card, yes? Or can you somehow get it earlier?

The date I move in (I can from the 6th onward) until the day I get my proof of age card is going to leave a huge void. Hopefully I'm holed up with people in a similar situation, so we just drink on our collective lonesomes (surely that sentence is grammatically incorrect?).

I'm kind of drunk at the moment anyway. So that's my excuse.
