It has though, as per above dialogue.You're seeing the results of it now.
The stuff about family, spending time together, exchanging gifts etc. as an annual tradition remains as a cultural staple whilst the religious stuff gets shed because it's not relevant to those that don't actively practice the religion.
It has literally nothing to do with being 'woke'.
To not divert from the subject matter. (how people celebrate religous holidays is entirely up to them)
Omitting certian christmas carols, from christmas carol concerts at schools, is a valid example to illustrate that it has a lot to do with cancel culture or wokeness, or whatever you call it, Progressive?
As has guardians/carers day (in lieu of mothers/fathers day)
You're calling it, "seeing the results off" a non religous, pagan society.
