What's with that? I'm the same, I draw far too much satisfaction from beating my kids at stuff. Of course I let them win quite often so they don't get too shitty but teaching them life's lesson in being a good loser is greatly satisfying.

Bloody snakes and ladders though! My 6yo daughter always wins at that and it shits me. She is so bloody lucky and I get none. I get my own back in Uno, though she's starting to work out how to finish a game with a draw 4, skip, reverse, wild, UNO, draw 2 type run.

key is never play a game of chance! there is a risk of a loss, only games of skill :)

Without wanting to get into what was actually said, I just read that the NBA have banned that franchise owner for life and fined him $2.5M?

How can they fine someone that is no longer accountable to them?
I'd say as a franchisee they can financially penalise him for bringing the game into disrepute (or whatever similar phrasing the NBA uses). As a commercial agreement between him and the NBA, I'd say there would be all sorts clauses in the contract that allows them to financially penalise him.

But aren't they effectively voiding the contract by banning him?
I'd suggest that they can 'fine' him as part of the contract termination.

Is there a more pretentious job filled by ******s than music critic? What is their purpose?
Some can be pretty good, I mainly use sputnikmusic.com when I want to find new stuff and find they have some really good in depth reviews. I mainly just use it as a guide tho and then sample myself.

A universally praised album will receive 5.4 but some obscure music that sounds like a cat being strangled will get a 9.6.
Yeah I mean, I'd bern told that a lot. Then one day I was just looking at reviews for a record I really liked and noticed a few places I read were also glowing reviews then I thought oh why not go to pitchfork and it gave it some lol review and score.

I'm not sure a 1 - 10 scale scoring system (especially with decimal points) really works for music reviews.

Yeah, they can be a good way to discover new music etc., but it's like trying to put Supercoach points onto footy performances, except for every sport at once. Chris Judd gets a 120, Christiano Ronaldo a 135 and LeBron gets an 80 because I think basketball is a bit shit.
