While the lucky audience members about to enjoy a free eight-day adventure and will travel with Qantas, the billionaire talk show host has reportedly opted to head our way aboard a private jet.

It's been a feverish few months since Oprah first revealed that she was coming our way with 150 of her ultimate fans and their guests in tow to experience the “real” Australia.

After an episode of her show went to air last week there are 10 million Americans under the impression that Australians spend their days hanging out in McDonalds after comedian Carrie Bickmore gave them a “crash course in the Australian way.”

"While there are a lot of differences, there is one comforting similarity," Bickmore explained.

She went on to wise up the US audience about the local lingo, revealing men are “blokes” , women are “sheilas” and we hang out at “hip joints” called McCafes.

"While you have your diners, we have McCafes. Guys come for business meetings, girls come for a catch-up over coffee. It's all just a little bit fancy," Bickmore said.

I'm not against generating revenue but if we could manage to generate revenue as a country with a moral standing (thinking Assange here) rather than brown nosing the US and mimicking their celebrity obsession I'd be a tad happier.
