After travelling around Iceland for the last week, I have noted the complete lack of pubs and alcohol selection particularly in Supermarkets. Further, when you find a beer, it tastes like shit with a 2.25% alcohol content which does not take the sides. Lucky I packed a slab of estonian beer for the trip.

The article below provides some background on 'why'

When I get back I may post a link to some footage of driving through a snow blizzard in Western Iceland, stuck in the middle of no-where on a dirt road with 100+ km wind gusts blowing snow is not pleasant, I can assure you of that. Amazing country, no wander only 300,000 people live here!

Sounds an interesting place Iceland. Definitely march to a different drum - many people believe in elves, fairies and ghosts etc. Then there's Bjork. Never been there but would love to visit. Had a friend who used to play the jazz festival festival there every year, said that people would just lie around in parks and stuff on Friday and Saturday night getting pissed.

GH will fit right in then.

Iceland is a brilliant place, just amazing! It was close so went there, now that I am back alive and well, I am so happy I went. I love a road trip, but, I was not prepared for what I was up against in Iceland, Driving there is brutal.

Grizz, yes the people do march to another drum. The alcohol situation is interesting to say the least. No full strength alcohol to be sold at supermarkets only 2.25%, all full strength alcohols sold at 'Vinbudin' a gov't owned enterprise oper certain hours each day. I can tell you, when Icelanders drink, they drink hard. Reyjavik was a mess 5am Sunday morning.....takes the piss out of King Street.

Henry - i'm back.

.

Yeah, apparently they're not adverse to drunken sex in the park either.

Interesting place by all accounts. Isn't the president/head of state a woman who the public asked to run the country? Or something like my simplistic explanation. Did you go on one of those giant ferries?

The Squandered Superpower: How America Has Stunted Imagination

"Think of a number between 1 and 10. Got it? Now, how many of you reading this thought of the number pi? Or how about e? The brain is certainly capable of giving those kinds of answers. But that is not the way in which many of us have been taught to think."

This is one of the oddest photos I've seen. And that's saying something.

WTF is going on?

Yes this is odd. Don't know what is funnier..... the arse stomach or the two rabbits hugging each other. Where the hell was this taken!

I have no idea what's going on... the rabbits.... yes.

St Kilda end of season drinks perhaps?

I could look at this picture daily for next month and piss myself laughing.

It looks like some sort of costume party gone horribly wrong, with the rabbits and Oompa Loompas looking very concerned.

So, yeah, St. Kilda end of season trip sounds about right.

EDIT: Note that the Oompa Loompas are actually short people. Fantastic.

If you do a close-up on the ommpah loompahs you'll notice he's laughing and clapping his tiny hands. I honestly have no idea what's going on here.

So wrong but funny!

Seriously just focus on the arse stomach and you just cannot stop laughing! I have a presentation wednesday, imagine if I finish my speech/ slides with this. Leave it there for 5 seconds and create discussion. This is seriously the funniest thing I have seen in so long.

Grizz, where did you get it?

Funny story, had a long lunch yesterday (PM24 - reccomend), had a performance review with one of my staff at 4pm (on a friday!!!) - For fans of Super Troopers remember the 'meow' skit?

my staff member does not speak english to well, and I could not understand her, I kept on saying 'meow' instead of now. My boss was in hysterics. I love that scene.
