So is it all over for Siddle?
Had a good run for a few years.

But with Hazlewood, Pattinson and Cummins as the emerging young pacemen and Harris and Johnson the first choice veterans - surely Siddle is now finished at Test level?

Can't completely rule him out because of injuries but yeah I don't think we'll see much more of him. Just doesn't take enough wickets.

I think Sidds gets a few more games as the 1st emergency so to speak.

When Johnson needs a break or one of the kids gets hurt Siddle is a reliable option to call upon at short notice.

Im not sure how many years Harris has left either. Siddle is still young enough to play next to Johnson as the kids come through.

Hope we continue the good work and avoid things like....

GEELONG’s Brad Hartman has been charged with leaving the scene of accident and failing to stop at a stop sign. Afl.com.au

Faced up to my nephew in backyard cricket today. He's 12, in the state squad and already bowling at 120+. Couldn't see the bloody thing!! :)

Just Test cricket is really suffering with there being only 2 or 3 nations with quality sides. It's Aussies, Indians, South Africa and England, then there's daylight to any other country. Now that we're trouncing the other three, I just wish there was some competition. Even during the days of Waugh's untouchables, it was still a strong competition.
Not trouncing, to be fair India have performed quite well to only lose by 48 runs and 4 wickets, much better than the England series. If these Tests were played in India, the results would quite easily be reversed.

Nothing to do with the few hundred brews beforehand! o_O

Was a pretty handy cricketer in my day.
When i was a young bloke i faced an even younger Damien Fleming in the nets once.
Hit a couple.
Left a couple.
Swung at and missed the rest :p

in football, every body gts selected each week on merit (except maybe Zac Dawson). In the Australian XI players do not want to give anyone a chance to take their place. Watson suffered from what looked like concussion, although he playing well today. Michael Clarke should not have played in Adelaide. Now he might be lost for all time. I believe that a good game or three in the Sheffield Shield should put you in front of the selectors. Jamie Cox was the best opener in the Sheffield for a number of years, but played at a time when we had openers. There area umber of positions in the Australian team which are not locked down, in fact, most of them.

actually that could be it. Could be that I'm just a dud of course!

Watched Ch.9 Carols by Candlelight on Christmas Eve.

Noticed on the side of the small green train, that pulled Santa out, had the numbers 408 on the side.

A little, but nice touch.

Okay can't think of where else to put it but here goes.

I don't really wear my Saints jumpers anymore and have moved to the polo shirts, but I don't want to just have my jumpers hanging in a dusty cupboard so I've gotten them cleaned and I'm looking to get some Saints players signatures on it (Preferably our beloved Captain and maybe Joey or Fish) so I can get them framed and put straight in the pool room ;)

So how would you guys suggest I go about getting this done?

Open training! The players usually spend a bit of time doing signatures after the session is done. I think there's one on the 14th of January.

One of my Collingwood supporting co-workers has recommended me to watch Megan Spencer's 'Heathens' to give me a better insight as to what Moorabbin was like back in the day.

Does anyone know where I could get this short film?

Going to be down Mornington way on the 23rd February 2015, will be going through Seaford & hope to drop in. Are ordinary supporters/people/Bogans  allowed to visit the club rooms? Would be good if a couple of the boys are there in the morning.
