I think both Half Back Pocket and I were reinforcing what a complete joke are Man United.

Lovett was a knob, and his actions, whether proof was available or not, were enough that the other players didn't want to go near him.

And recall that we overpaid anyway. That's not just my opinion. Lyon said so at the time. But he wanted the speed and was happy in the context of getting Walsh for free. Just yuck!
