Yeah, a night of great music and snappy dressing. I'll wear the tie with tailored three button chalk stripe suit, tab collar shirt and 'Paul Weller' shoes; all very 1966! I love an excuse to peacock :)

We change Prime Ministers more often than i change my smoke alarm battery :drunk:
Too true Snake.

At least we get to choose which battery gets put in the smoke alarm.

Is it okay if I start a Manchester United meltdown thread? I hate sport, all sport, and think I take up gardening instead. :(

I was at Old Trafford last night and it was just surreal. Mourinho has become Richo
Surreal alright! Its bizarre. He actually has morphed into a much more dramatic Cho!
Similar soul crushing negative tactics though..Watching United has always been a major event
over the years win lose or draw...It's becoming a real grind, for some time now!
Whats even more scary man is that this ridiculously high priced team is equally
as fragile and mentally weak as the Saints!

Something is horribly out of whack in this world!
Makes me very uneasy when my 2 loves in sport begin
mirroring each other! Esp from a UNITED Perspective!

World's Karmic energy gone Troppo...
Prepare for Armageddon!

As someone who doesn't like MU it's bizarre. They're like the sky, they were just always at the top in any given year. It's like you wish for something and then when it happens you feel guilty.;)

So it's your fault then!
That's what your saying man. How could you point the Gringo curse
on poor unfortunate United!....They are no different to the Saints
another year of this the club may go under or worse be relocated to Turkey!
The Euro version of Tasmania! We are just a struggling club trying to
make ends meet like StKilda! Thinking of making a submission to the English FA
for a Priority Pick!

Please help our battling club...Donate now if you can....
Save our Red Devils!

A very interesting documentary about proposed change in the economic framework that drives product design and performance.

Revolutionary.

Bad times for red, white and black on both sides of the world, mate. United not a happy club at the moment: infighting, blaming each other, rumours aplenty. Mourinho must now really earn his corn, because some fans are starting to turn on him. It's vital he turns this around before the minority become the majority. It's a shambles and we need results fast.

Straight from the AFL season and into this. No peace for the wicked.

Just got back from overseas , brief stopover at Bangkok.

I still think all this Coles plastic bag thing is a load of crap. Our bags, in general , are not going into the ocean, neither are the German's bags ( where they have a similar feelgood push to avoid plastic ).
Thailand you buy a can of Coke, they grab a bag, you tell them "no bag" they still put it in a bag. You then walk for a Km before you find a bin to put your bag and now empty can into. Guess what the locals are doing. They've been doing this for 20 years that I know of, and they don't give a shit what we are doing
You go on a boat on the river, you see so much crap in the river that the Yarra by comparison looks like some magic spring that virgins grew out of , in .

All of the Tuk Tuk's and little motorcycles are churning out smog from their 2 stroke engines.

two weekends ago i was with a group picking up rubish around our Protected Swan river here in perth ... collectivly we removed 10kg of plastic from the banks of the river .. let that sink in .. the swan is touted as one of the cleaner capital city rivers and we got 10kg of plastic out of it ... sure Asia are significantly worse but our own back yard aint exactly great ... its a world wide culture change to solve the plastic issue and if we have to be the ones to start the change then so be it...
never have i heard such pathetic whining then the crys of the people wanting plastic bags back ...

He was a bit of a strange appointment IMO. His last Chelsea season where they fell in a hole showed there were some real issues with his style working anymore. He's arguably the greatest motivator the game has seen but for his Chelsea team to fold like a deck of cards a free fall like they did was alarming. Mourinho teams never do that, to me it felt like his tactics (both psychological and football-wise) worked better with the older generation than they do the young (with guys like JT driving the standards).

The other problem is, Pep has re-invented himself and basically tweaked his tactics to suit England. Klopp is also getting more settled..... For Mourinho to win he is going to have to find a way to beat both of these guys and they are seriously good managers that play a quick, passing game that parking the bus can't beat anymore.

I reckon Jose's on borrowed time. United should be looking to bring in Simeone. He'd be perfect, language issues aside. Has the passion and competitiveness to suit England and can play passing football when needed... he's pretty pragmatic as well.

Could be rough seas ahead for United this year because, as you mention, the fans look to be turning on him and the media won't let up either.

Hey narkles Melbourne victory just signed ola toivonen what can you tell me about him?.
Gee, that's a bit of a surprise (no disrespect to Victory, they are my Aussie team).

He was actually a very promising striker at one stage: he did fantastically at PSV Eindhoven and many saw that his career would make the logical progression to a bigger club in England. He instead made a mistake I reckon and moved sideways to the French league with Rennes, but his scoring ratio was not too bad there either.

Unfortunately for him, his dream move to England to Sunderland was a bit of a disaster, not all of his doing. They were at the start of their free-fall really and he was given every opportunity early and just simply couldn't score. Then the manager lost faith in him and he went back to France where he did just ok for Toulouse.

His international career on the other hand has flourished the past few years and he went to another level after Zlatan left. He scored the amazing winner for Sweden against France in the qualifier (from halfway in the last second, google it if you haven't seen it) and then scored a fantastic goal against Germany in the recent World Cup.

I think he will be a big hit for Victory, he still has a couple of really good years in him. He's coming at a perfect time really for both parties, he still has a lot to give and will appreciate the standard drop. Has a great work rate, he'll be a very good fit for the league and I would imaging would score a lot of goals for the Victory.

Thanks we’re putting together a good squad that’s Honda and neidermeier signed as well, we should have a good year.

http://landhauswines.com.au/index.php/wines/product/l-series-the-saint-shiraz-2016

Was at the royal show over the weekend and as you do headed straight for the wine cheese food area
Got on to some of that above
Saw it on display and had to taste for the obvious reasons of it's:
A. shiraz
B: named The Saint
Shesh, I've gotta say there's no tanin after taste for a 16 and was mightly impressed, it'd be triple the price at some places and I'm not joking

If you head thru that way get on it
Produced 5000 cases I think he said and they're down into the 400s
I grabbed 2 bottles on the spot mainly because I didn't wanna cart about a dozen or put a dozen in a locker for the day but i am heading thru where cellar door is next saturday to grab more to put down for a few years
If u like a very smooth good tasting shiraz get on it, certainly ready to drink now and will taste unreal with a a good five more on it imo.
