Loophole won't work

It won't work. You can't get rid of the Captain sign.


If you move your captain to the bench it switches the C to the player from that moves to the field from the bench.

Yeah your right, but you sub on a player who wont be playing this week. Hence getting your VC.

So they wont give you the score of 2x0 for the non playing player.

Stats after the siren

Hi guys

This has probably been answered before but I can't find it written anywhere... Do stats after the siren count if no shot at goal is taken?

Last night Montagna was on the hbf and took a mark just before the siren.. The siren blew and he kicked the ball but from the live update scores he only got the mark, not the kick... I know its only 3 points but in some cases that can be the difference between winning and losing and it would be interesting to know the actual ruling.

They only count if the player is shooting at goal.

Thanks for that clarification! I'm guessing this means "realistic attempt?" so anything say 65 and closer?

Yeah pretty much.

I think Dawes had a massive torpedo from about 80-90 against Carlton which ended up near the goal square. I didn't check but i'm sure that would've counted.

Does anyone know when the rest of the teams announce their final 22 plus emg's? It should be today but I have a feeling the AFL might slacken off the rules meaning even by tommorrows lock out not all teams will be announced!

If anyone knows when teams are to be announced for each match it would be appreciated as this round looks like a utter mess made worse by unknown final team naming dates/times.

Richardson and Krackouer in particular would be helpful. as ill be trading one most likely, and other bench spots need to be locked.

A bit more of an uneven playing field this week, with dt coaches with players in the mon/tues games, having to put on the clairvoyant hat to guess whos playing.

I just hope the bad luck is spread around as i already have 4 missing up front.

Genuine Q for the experienced DTers: I'm currently ranked in the 900s after being top 200 before last week. I had a HORRIBLE last week, dropping below 2000 and copping a zero by simply forgetting to take Riewoldt off the ground and therefore not getting Darling's 100. Totally my fault. I'd love to come close to winning the car so I can show how valuable DT is to the people who say I'm obsessed... So, do I take a risk by giving Boak the captaincy for tomorrow over Swan, in the hope he gets more and (hopefully) gets my good ranking back or not? With the theory, no risk no reward.

I understand that at the end of the day this is my decision, but this is only my second year of DT and if I'm making a big mistake I would appreciate guidance.

I wouldn't ignore possibly the most proven DT captain option in history Valli.

You can take risks, and you need to in order to rank well/win the car ideally, but it shouldn't be where you put the big C!
Make up the ground elsewhere, your safe as houses by going with Swanny and if he does fail for whatever reason you're not worse off.

I can see where your coming from with port playing GCS but geez
don't underestimate Swans scoring capabilities.
You would kick yourself if Swan outscored Boak then you would possibly fall further behind the leaders,it's only rnd 5 so there's plenty of time but if you
are dead set on it good luck to you and lets hope Boak gets plenty of the

That's correct, Slawk may also be interested to know that the player who receives the resulting free kick does not get credited with a "free for" therefore, he does not get an extra DT point. (He does get the points for the disposal though).
