Crazy Vossy wants to give us Fevola and Maguire for O'hAilpin.

nah ..i disagree , dramoth ..too many battlers on the list .. time to get some polish ..we need classy finishers
get in a time machine and go back to the 2009 draft and tell ratten not to flush pick 11 down the toilet on brock and select reid who went at 38 or go further back and tell the coaches of the day to get his old man to 100 games in navy blueMan, what I would do to get Sam Reid to our football club.![]()
Ridicule!!
Picking up Jay Neagle would be an extra large mistake. Fitness issues or not.
Would rather we kept Levi. Much better mover.
Any justification? I'm not committed either way, i was just interested in a decent response to throw any fantasies of another 30 goal kicker and releasing Walker to a 2nd defender out of the water.
I have absolutely no doubt that I will get ridiculed for this.
It is fairly widely known that Essendon's fitness staff pretty deplorable in the Matthew Knights era. Additionally, big guys do take a lot longer to develop, and recent history (Leigh Brown in particular) has shown that big guys have dramatically turned around their career. Further, I'd imagine this guy would only cost a late rookie draft pick.
Hence, i suggest the recently delisted Jay Neagle. His problems are that he is overweight for an AFL player and he seemingly has an attitude problem, but he has shown that he has talent (kicking 41 goals from 28 games) and a big preseason could possibly turn that around.
I have no doubt that he isn't the solution to all of our Full Forward/Center Half Forward needs, however Setanta does have issues with inconsistency issues, and Mitchell/Casboult are a few years away, so he could be decent back up if he gets his shit together.
Thoughts?

At least Lance could kick a sausage roll or two.Jay Neagle?
I'd rather we re-drafted Lance.
