It's a racquetball :eek: Yeah, we hit the racquetball with a racquet in racquetball.


The game is designed for squash players who get too old to play squash, I guess they wanted to make it easy to follow :eek:


I didn't actually realise I'd broken the racquet until after I left the court. Screamed out some pretty ugly things too, it's not my usual thing to do that. Felt sorry for my opponent, it can't be fun going onto the court with someone double your size and have them swearing and smacking racquets into the wall. Of course, she won so I guess she can't complain too much.

The difference between the first half of my match and the second half of my match made last year's semi final look like smooth sailing. Gah, I fell apart :(

Only my second loss for the year, too.

Good to hear that the NBL will most likely be moving from Foxtel to One HD, with some finals perhaps even to be shown on Ch 10.

I know it's been done to death, but the AFL must get its act together at the end of this season when the TV rights are up. Tonight's game (Ch 10) is delayed by an hour for So You Think You Can Dance and then tomorrow night (Ch 7) by the usual 1.5 hours for Better Homes and Gardens.

Stabby, if it make you feel better my basketball team is still undefeated and I scored 15 of the first 20 points in the match :)

Doesn't that feel better?

*may have scored only 5 for the rest of the match as fatigue set in.

that makes me think (yeah I do do it occaionaly :p)

a few years ago in Sydney junior football a team went underfeated the whole way through the home and away season

they lost the semi and prelim finals......both by 1 point

and in East Coast Eagle's :)thumbsd::mad:) first grand final they went the whole season underfeated. Grand Final lost it 5.20.50 vs 7.6.48

An hour! Consider yourselves lucky. It doesn't start until 11:30pm here in Canberra.

We went through a season undefeated once. With a % of over 200.00%

Lost the granny to a bunch of shit **** in a game where nothing would work.

Beat them by 40 points in the season.

At least one of us is winning :eek:

I can't complain. Until this week my team was on top of the ladder and I had only lost one game (of five), and my opponent played very well this week. More than anything I'm just annoyed at myself for losing my temper and breaking my racquet in the process. I pride myself on keeping a calm head most of the time, I don't mind a bit of emotion but that was really just stupid of me.

Didn't help my game either :eek:

I find the ad to be meh. It provides a good build up, but then nothing. Also, if you didn't follow football (particularly SANFL football), you would not think it would be an ad promoting football/SANFL football.

I prefer the 2007 'Your Tribe it Calling Ad' (interestingly the SANFL had this up on YouTube, then when the new one came out they took it off).

Ok, the supporter packs the Advertiser & Sunday Mail were doing. We went into our local newsagency on Monday to get one and they said come back tomorrow, so we asked if we could pay for one now to guarantee that we get one (which we did for something like this last year) and they said don't bother, we have HEAPS, we won't run out. So we go back on Wednesday (didn't even think about on Tuesday haha), they said they're all gone but we'll call you if we get anymore in. Yesterday we get the phone call saying they've got a pack for us.

Today, we go in and tell them that we got a phone call, they go out the back (and are back there for a LONG time) and I said they'll come back out and say they're all gone... They FINALLY come back out with an empty plastic bag and a sympathetic smile on their face. We say...yeah that's empty. They said to put it bluntly, you won't get one and we were like oook. Then they went on to say on Wednesday afternoon one of them went for a drive to Adelaide to 4 different news-agencies collecting ones that those agencies had left over and they brought them back and started giving them to people yesterday, then a couple of people came back and said they didn't get a stubby holder. So yes, not many of the packs they got had stubby holders and we said WE DON'T CARE ABOUT THEM! So they gave us scraps because other people didn't want the other stuff without the stubby holder. So we got 1 cooler bag, 3 "Crows Territory" signs and 2 key rings :thumbsu: (We could only get 1 cooler bag because they had to send the bags back to the Advertiser as "proof" that they didn't have everything in them...)

Quite a lot of effort just to get a stupid supporters pack! Although this stuff is better made than the stuff we got from the actual Club! :p
 
Just been listening to 5AA as always, and a caller rings up asking Cornes how he goes supporting his sons when they play for Port. This caller later revealed himself as Cam Hitchcock's dad, and said he has been a Port hater all his life so was just getting some advice on what to do!:D Thought it was gold.:thumbsu:

Yep agree with this. It's 9:26 pm and their is still 12:05 left until half time. The 3rd quater won't start until after 10:05 pm and I'm already asleep.

Just checked the guide for next Thursday. I thought since BH&G won't be on they might show it live. But noooooooooo, they have to show that sh*t show "The Bounce" at 7.30. WILL THEY EVER SHOW A BLOODY GAME LIVE?!?!
