What is the average price per month for the average foxtel set up? Everyone seems to differ on their price and with the current tv rights deal its really starting to give me the shuts watching free to air tv.
We pay $147

That is for Platinum level of channels, so everything bar the special channels (Setanta, RAI, Adult etc). One HD box with all HD channels and another box (IQ1) in the spare room.

We recently put an old 50inch TV in that room, having updated the main TV and have to use Component cable for it. Picture is poor. My IQ1 box has no HDMI output. Rang them to swap boxes to one that has and it was gonna cost me $200.00. Stuff that. Need to think of a way to "damage" it to get it replaced, without it being obvious, surely they wont charge for that. All boxes now have a HDMI output.

I've heard friends talking about a sports package for $50/month or so. I assume that doesn't include installation costs though.
if you play your cards right when ringing up to get it, you might be able to get that brought down to $40 a month too. helps to be a sweet talker!

Is there anything stopping me buying a big Internet package and streaming everything I need? I will be on the nbn very shortly can you easily stream afl games and other sports such as soccer and cricket? Can I just bypass fox all together?

I think you would have to go with Bigpond to stream AFL games. They're the only ones with the rights. Other than that, yeah think you could avoid getting Fox if you want.

Hudson,Maric,Griifen,Gunston,Mattner,Armstrong,Davis,Bock..... yet we are equal top ...go figure....

Google HDTV Player 0.38 - this will be all you ever need

Why is the River Torrens the River Torrens and not the Torrens River? Same as the River Murray... don't think I've ever heard of the River Yarra or the River Swan... what's up with that?
River Quai, River Nile

Must have been a belter of a chick!

From memory, the pics from last year's or the year before b&f showed rory was in form on and off the field

Keep them short and to the point. If you can't do one in under 2 pages then try doing it again. Tailor it for the role.

This. It all depends on what kind of position you're going for. If you were applying for a position of CEO within a company, you'd probably want more than two pages, because you'd likely have more than two pages worth of relevant qualifications, experience, and info that you'd need to get across, and the people making the decision are going to be willing to invest a lot more of their time to find the right person. The important thing is to be concise, and remember that the whoever is tasked with reading your resume may have to read through 200 others.

I'm more rugged than she is though!!!

With regards to resumes, the key thing is to make them clean and professional. No typos, no bad grammar. Clean, concise and relevant.

Put a shirtless picture of yourself on the first page.
this is a good idea except.....its for my mum!?! :p

thanks everybody, all very helpful.

is stuff like 'work placement (she last did work placement in 85...)' 'about me' and 'hobbies and interests' important? and to my understanding 10 years is fairly acceptable for previous employment? what if shes been employed at the same place for 17 years?

thanks again everybody!

i would leave all of that stuff out if it were me. what she does outside of work shoudl be the least of a potential employers worries. a work placement that was done in 1985 is likely to hold no relevance to any role she applys for today, so i'd leave that out too.
