This last month or so has demonstrated that the club has a plan for the future. Kudos to Smorgon for speaking out about the youth policy, to Pagan for copping that on the chin and to the football department for standing firm when Hawthorn & Port were trying to lure away a couple of players who should be a part of our resurgence. The icing on the cake, the appointment of Rats. IMO our great club has made more progress in the last month than in the previous 4 years. All we need to do is get our draft picks right and the sky could well be the limit. We now have a brand that should start drawing great interest from the corporates. We have demonstrated that we won't be pushed around or just roll over and die.

Go the Blues, keep doing us proud.

I have to say I had my doubts over the Thornton bizzo - but by the end of the week I was hopeful that there was some master plan behind it all. Redemption indeed.

This last month shows how pointless rumour, innuendo and media speculation can be in the face of a united and resolute club. WELL DONE BLUES!!! Despite all of those who castigated him for it, this is what Kernahan meant by "we are Carlton fu** the rest!"
