The ABC team just quizzed Ratts about the four changes.

He said;

They looks at Sandilands and considered Setanta small for a 2nd ruckman against Sandilands and Hampson has been playing well in the Ants and has the height.

Yarren, Ratten has been itching to get Yarren in for his freakiness and goal sense, he doesn't care if he kicks 4 goals or 0 but game time is the most important aspect for him with his skill.

Austin, last week we were beating by a big Roughead, Austin is a big body and something we need down back, and he has also been wanting to get games into Austin.

Hadley brings hardness around the packs which we will want against Freo to add grunt to the team.

On Houlihan, he said last week Houlihan had aspects of his game to work on and he didn't reach his targets and that is something he needs to work on (maybe its the intensity level??)

Very interesting, but good to see Ratts wants hardness in the team and good to see he is willing to get games into the young kids without fear of losing games.

He also said Hampson is signed up beyong the Gold Coast start, so they won't be getting him!!

nice summary thanks from those of us who missed it.

Interesting aussie going down back. Waitey might be released completely to the wing or forward

cant wait to watch it at 1130pm

Match committe has absolutely no idea. Hampson was shithouse and Austin couldnt find a match-up.

If those 2 KIDS were our worst tonight then we would have won......maybe I was watching a different game but some more senior players I would be questioning about getting games next week before Hammer and Austin.

Hammer is raw, thats a given, but Austin i think can hold his head high, did very well while on the field, if you say he couldn't find a match up thats not his fault, but IMO he palyed well.

I told you people we would lose and it happen,Ratten stuffed up big time in my opinion,Houilhan shouldn't have been dropped for this game.

He creates goals and kicks them and plays well on the forward line on weaker clubs like Fremantle and may struggle a bit against Geelong/Hawthon.

I think to drop someone like that there has to be another guy in the bullants similiar that kicks goals and good skills,Hampson,Hadley,Austin haven't prove nothing in that,Yarran more like Betts but learning and rather small.

I also thought having 3 Ruckmen Kreuzer,Cloke and Hampson in the team is a bloody waste, only if Fisher was stronger and kicked straight we would have someone o.k but not great.

I'm sorry to say this but i don't think he is a AFL player and ever will be just like Clinton Benjamin. I love how he can run and leap but he can't do much.Austin hasn't showed much yet but i think he can have more of a go at AFL. I still have seen a hell lot more in Joey Anderson then the both of them when he played, sure he turned it over a bit but there was flashes of good stuff just like Bower did but would like Austin to make it more only because of his height as Anderson below 190cm.

I am confused - Hoops in and we win LOL

I'm not saying his great but he rarely puts bad games together, one or two goals could have been enough and a few nice delivery to the forwards probably would win the game. There was no advantage having 3 Ruckmen on the ground, hell even Mitch Robinson could have been handy today.
Did you see the goal tally we barely got 10,Robinson and Houilhan have proven they can kick them.
