Yeah i was being a bit conservative...

I have a feeling the Rabbitohs game could get around 30,000...

Theres some big games for rd 1, lets hope everyone gets out to support their team.

A few local derbies.

Do you know if the doggies are playing at WIN stadium this year?

We're playing the Dragons at OKI this year... First time since the Dogs knocked the Dragons out of the finals in 1998:D

I'm hardly an expert, but what the hell - I'll have a go:

Wests Tigers, 46,000
Parramatta, 27,000 (or whatever capacity is up there, I haven't been there since they built the new eastern stand but this one's a guaranteed sellout)
Bulldogs, 26,000
Manly, 16,000
Melbourne, 11,000
Roosters, 32,000 (Souths publicity in overdrive with the Russell Crowe sale and 1st game at Homebush)
Brisbane, 44,000

BTW, does anyone know if the NRL still has $8 away members discount tix? A Roosters season ticket holder who can't make the 1st round at Homebush has offered to lend me her ticket for a cheap entry, but I won't go if I have to pay full price.

Wests Tigers V
Dragons Telstra Stadium Fri 7.30pm - 52,000

Knights V
Eels Energy Australia Stadium Sat 5.30pm - 25,000

Bulldogs V
Panthers Telstra Stadium Sat 7.30pm - 24,000

Sea Eagles V
Raiders Brookvale Oval Sat 7.30pm - 10,000

Not sure about crowds, I've always been bad at it, but I will say that the Broncos game could get 50,000

Remember - the Souths v Easts is at Homebush, not the SFS and Rorter fans don't travel anywhere west of Anzac Parade.

Nice idea for a post.

Dragons/34,000; and by some margin to!
Knights/24,000
Bulldogs/24,000
Sea Eagles/14,000
Storm/8,000
Cowboys/46,000
Rabbitohs/31,000

I'll just say one thing, what is with presses obsession with writing the Bunnies off:mad: They showed plenty at the end of last season and have plenty of young talent; I understand they lost Ashley Harrison, but they looked impressive in the Charity Shield.

The great thing about the NRL is the equal nature of the competition, could this year be the year the Bunnies finaly take it up to the competition :thumbsu:

BTW, I've been a Rabbitohs fan (casual) since they were booted out; being a mexican and all I wanted to adopt a team, I would love them to make a comeback to the finals; 1989, or maybe who knows ;)

36 years is to long for a team with the history South's do!

That's a fair enough reason for supporting them. Also the anti-Rabbitohs sentiment amongst News journos is always a good reason to back a team. They will give an honest performance but they are still lacking depth. I gave a low crowd figure becuase the Rorter fans won't travel and the Souths fans will be confuised about where they're meant to be on game day seeing as this is the first time they're at their new home ground this season.

Apparently for the Broncos game over 39,000 tickets have been sold and there is still 5 or so days left to game day:D ...
In the paper today ticket sales for the Tigers V Dragons game suggest a crowd of 40,000 will be reached and the Knights game is/will be a sell out.:D

Wests Tigers
Eels
Bulldogs
Sea Eagles
Storm
Cowboys
Roosters

We will probably lose. but GO SOUTHS:cool:

The Roosters just ******** me off, they seem to lack passion!

It will come; they have plenty of youngsters who show great promise. Now all they need is for Crowe and Holmes A Court (am I allowed to talk about this in here?) to take up ownership over the administrational part of the club to inject much needed funds, to be competitive in signing the marquee players. Loved the manner they finished the season and played in the Charity Shield this year :thumbsu:
