It's a weird thing with the rules that we never get another look at that knock on at the end of the game that the ref inexplicably waived on.

I've never seen it happen in rugby league, but Kennedy is actually better off letting Kenny score there. It's the last drive of the game, they were buggered either way - let him score so you potentially get the knock on with the review with 30 yards to score.

Good game to watch, both sides rusty as they both made mistakes.
Would like to see that Alamoti decision at the end again, and no idea how the touch judge missed that 40/20 from Cleary in the first half, the Sharks defender was out by a fair way.

Not a perfect game but i'll take that. No To'o, lose Mclean early and still found a way to get it done.

Yeo, Cleary just flawless, Edwards had some moments but ultimately was still terrific. Leota a tank and loved what i saw from Luron Patea

Good day of footy for the most part.

The Raiders looked great, albeit the Warriors looked dreadful.

The biggest misstep of the day was having the Jillaroos/Lionesses on. On an already crammed day of footy, having a fixture so wildly uncompetitive was disappointing.

As for the last game, convinced Cronulla may never beat Penrith again.

Yeah, shame about that. But now they know, right? The women's game in the UK is way behind Australia, where it's been established a lot longer. Not sure how they'll put that right in future. But fair to say the event was successful, worth persisting with, and I'm now convinced that SL should be, and needs to be, a part of it. And delighted with my team's contribution, who lit the stadium up with some cracking attacking plays. But I already knew that; they do it every week!

Catching the end of the Wigan game before the Raiders match, when Warrington kicked out on the full from a restart, Vossy said, that's a penalty on the centre sport in SL. Isn't it the same in the NRL? Has it changed?
The NRL changed the rules last year so that balls that go out on the full or don't go 10 metres from a kick off or drop out is just a play the ball rather than a penalty.

So go to Vegas, lose and then be behind the rest of the competition for a few weeks recovering.

Was a terrible decision to go in the first place and don’t even get a financial benefit.
Harsh on them to draw you away in Townsville next up. Plenty of kms and then the humidity up there.

Never been a team to be looked after as they’d rather relocate the club, but all 3 other Vegas teams are playing at home next round so it’s a bit ridiculous.

There should be a bigger break for all teams. It's why I am utterly against Vegas, recovery is everything in RL. If you spend a day travelling, you'll need 4-5 days recovery even if you go Business Class and I assume they are. Having done way too many long haul flights for work, the London and US trips are the worst, and I'm not expected to be playing a footy game 13 days later!

My idea and many are against it on here, is push Vegas forward by a week, have the trials in the next two weeks, then start the week after with all Vegas teams playing each other next round. That should be easy to organise.

I was against us going as well, what’s the benefit to the club? Also seems like Las Vegas is getting more out of it than the NRL with the crowd basically full of people flying over for the game.

How big a break do you want? They get next weekend off.

Do agree it would be beneficial having the Vegas teams playing each other the next round so the breaks are consistent between the lot of them at least.

I am happy to be corrected here but I'm pretty sure the clubs involved get a slice of the pie so to speak. Pretty sure I read that last year.

An extra week that's all, so rather than 13 days it's 20 days. You have the trials the next two weeks in Australia. Then start the following Thursday (20 days after Vegas)

The easiest solution is play the Vegas teams against each other and it's not even hard to organise this, but the NRL struggle with this simple concept every year. You have 4 teams they could literally play each other the next two weeks at least it's on a level playing field.

20 days is way too long between games. That's just asking for more injuries.

13 days is way too short. It takes 4-5 days to be even be remotely functional after a long haul flight, so that's basically the whole of this week. At WORST all clubs over there should play r2, and that's at worst. The NRL in their fantastic wisdon seem to not even think about this. I bag Anasta and I can't stand hi as a commentator but he was saying this yesterday and good. Absout time someone was thinking of the logistics side of it.

How is it fair that Cronulla (and I don't like them at all) come back, and travel AWAY to NQ in round 2? How is that even remotely fair. They are now screwed for 3 weeks.

4-5 days still gives them an entire week to train and prepare for round 2. Why do you think they need more than a full week (on top of 4-5 days of recovery from jet lag)? Soccer players travel the globe for international games and are then playing same week.

Interestingly, last years teams all played each other in round 2 so they've obviously considered it before.

Soccer players basically have private jets and what not at their pay packets. Slight difference with the recovery. Soccer is hardly the most physically taxing sport out there, there are certainly no collisions like RL. There shouldn't be a question, they should all play r2, then all get a bye in the first 4/5 rounds. Make it fair or don't do it. Jeez I'm thankful we didn't wreck our season going over there again this season.

It's not like for like but as I said, there's no need for more than a full week of training, after already having 4-5 days recovery before that begins.

Completely different point but your season collapsing had nothing to do with Vegas.
