I don't think I've ever seen two teams officiated so differently in a match.
I've seen a few in the last decade or so, but that could well have been the worst. Maybe last year when the girl umpire could not find it in herself to not pay one free to the blues?? (Hawthorn game, I think)

Seriously, Teague needs to go full Clarko and demand to know WTF is going on, in public, at the presser, and damn the fine

TDK rucked better than Pittonet today, good effort.

We need to find a way to consolidate a lead, we give it up way too easily once a team starts coming
Yes when we put pitto back in there the momentum shift was obvious -- but he didn't have much petrol left in the last anyways the way he bobbled that mark falling over -- he a real positive today ..

Season done really have to start playing for next year. Cripps is far off, even his best weapon of hitting a handpass in any situation has left him this season. Time to rest him for a game or two straight to get him close to right, or off to operate if needed.

Injuries mounting, players labouring and with no chance of finals why will they bother.

Prepare some farewells for Betts, Simpson and maybe Murphy (even though apparently he has a contract).

Play kids, figure out which ones we'll keep/trade and I hope our recruiting team is working hard (sack Barker and use that cash for recruitment top up).

As long as Richmond, Hawks, Pies and * don't win it this year I don't care.

And as long as we beat Adelaide for the remainder of the year and a win against Pies would be nice. I'll be able to write this year off as a pass.

Time to make the call on Murphy, cost himself another contract with this type of performance on the back of similar efforts.

We will not improve while he still makes poor decisions and can’t tackle or smother. Time to play another kid who is part of the future.

That game is precisely the reason why last week’s turd of an effort hurts so much.

As a mid-table team you can throw everything at the Eagles in Perth and not get anything going your way. You can’t be relying on that to keep the season alive.

Like last week, our pressure emphasis is too high. Last week in the second quarter, this in the third, we threw everything into a forward press ANd tried to move the ball forward at lightning speed and burnt our petrol tickets, then had the flood gates open the other way.

Both games, we ended up with forward 50 entries just being long bombs and hoping then trying toI out chase and tackle them. Just not sustainable - at some point we have to try and hit up a target gojng inside 50.

Oh well, 7 more games to go

You're never too good to be coached, or to learn - what is looking more and more clear to me this year is that Cripps needs to be told to get back to basics.

All the greats of the game do the simple things well, and Patrick just isn't doing that at the moment - he's putting himself, and more tellingly, his teammates, under immense pressure by overcooking most of his involvements in the play currently. Yes, there's pressure - real and more so perceived, I feel - for him to 'lead', and of course he's arguably the most hard-done-by midfielder in the comp with the umpires - but this isn't leadership, it's selfish footy he's playing at the moment.

I think we can all sense his frustration, but gee, he's had a very ordinary past month of footy - it's costing us dearly. His good stuff is struggling to outweigh the mistakes.

Regardless of the dodgy umpiring calls, our
leaders needed to stand up in that 3rd quarter - Cripps, Doc, Murph, Jones had no impact.

Make no mistake though. Umpire 22 absolutely turned this game. He paid EVERY 50/50 call against us which gave them the momentum. It was absolutely mind-boggling! I have never been an umpire basher but he has really hurt us today.

Of the inclusions. Loved TDK’s game. Cottrell serviceable. Fish fantastic.

Dow and Marchbank apparently in our best in the 2’s.

Got within four goals against WCE ‘s on their dung heap without our no. 1 ruck and three best KPF’s.
