It’s probably lucky I wasn’t at the game cause I would have dragged that camera man over the fence and beat him with all his crap that was lying around, Newnes should have used him for a practice kick when he didn’t move straight away, I was going spare when he sat back down without moving himself and his garbage.
He has every right to be on the boundary, but should have cleared his stuff once known he was in the way. To be on the boundary is a privilege that the photographers get, not a freaking territorial right. Hopefully the AFL make that directive clear from now

Yes and he didn't seem to be going that well .. I remember more of a couple miss kicks bit of the fumbles -- but that lingering spoil on Walters was superb .. that's a real positive..
Yeah still making uncharacteristic mistakes and fumbles but I think tonight was a small step in the right direction, Willos game was much better which helped Doc find a bit more space, gee HES strong Willo and when he gets a head of steam up look out cause he’s coming through, laid some great tackles most notably on Fyfe who he got twice in the 2nd Qtr, big step up from him tonight and if he keeps it up it will really help Docs game.

yep, crossed the line to the point no-one had any idea what was happening on the ground..........
Unfortunately that is now a common characteristic in most radio coverages, special comments people and ex players to busy talking garbage to actually call the game, I just can’t listen to a game on the radio anymore I just find myself constantly screaming “just call the game where is the ball what’s happening” sad when you think of all the great radio callers we used to have.

abc are still fine for mine........the rest can't open their mouths without a hundred sponsors spewing out of it............

Nobody should be questioning Willo's ability or intent. Nobody. Will be an elite AFL footballer.

Being at the game knowing no idea what time was left the deliberate seemed correct and the down the field seemed correct. Had no idea how much time was left and it was a very short quarter so we all thought there was still maybe 2 minutes on the clock. A huge shock when the siren sounded. If anything the free kick should have been placed probably 50-55m out and beyond range. Fisher and Newnes both infringed on a player in the last 5 minutes and should have been paid down field but wasn't, however the letter of the law should be kicks infringed upon should be paid down field (otherwise professional free kicks occur). Still can't believe I was at that game and saw that finish. Utterly stunned. Ive also never seem a team of two halves like that. We were gone at half time based on form and we came out firing. For a team to find a gear like that we need to find what makes us switch on and off because we clearly weren't ready. Nothing changed besides our attitude and intent. Lucky to win but on the whole of the game we dominated for longer so deserved to win. Huge. For so many reasons. That season was about to slip away and we still may not make finals but we leave that hub now with some sort of reward for effort and they can move on now and scrap for a spot in the finals over the next 4 weeks

You could draw a line between Newnes, the middle of of the goal, and me on the middle deck for that last kick. I was perfectly positioned but was expecting failure. **** I was jumping up and down in excitement.

It was a gifted goal, but there were 3 gifted goals for game, the fact that we got one from from an impossible angle after they had 2 in the first term directly in front doesn’t make me feel bad.

Was riding it home from the other side. It took an impossible goal to kick it, but on thhe they deserved the win.

A lot of players are just excited to kick their first goal and seem a bit overwhelmed but it so early on. That celebration and us knowing he outran Ed Curnow in a time trial in his first year leads us all to believe this kid is gonna be something special for no other reason than he has what it takes above the shoulders 👍
