More Ed Curnow IMHO - will be a very fine player :thumbsu:

The most underrated player we have and he continues to defy the doubters every week.
Changed our team last year when he went on ball and was for mine BOG by a country mile tonight.
Lets hope his little brother works his arse off like Ed does and he will become a superstar.

Then we won't even go close. Gold Coast is the weakest opponent we'll face for a while, we need to rotate out guys like Kennedy, Simpson and Gibbons, bring in mids, and let some of the senior guys play at either end a bit more.

So you rate Adelaide?

A few here have criticised our game tonight, but you have to remember it was played in atrocious wet & slippery conditions. Ball was like a cake of soap out there, not conducive to good football. Brilliant goal by Newnes in those conditions. We won ugly, and a win's a win. I'm proud of the boys for fighting it out and not giving in.

You certainly have the balls to put newnes on the chopping block for dow after newnes winning kick... even after having decent games all year. Come to think not sure balls is the right word
I had Dow for Kennedy even before he got hurt -- but Teague will prob only make forces changes ..mcgovern fit will play who he replace

Thought we had some perplexing frees against us that cost goals in first qtr, then some lucky ones to us in final qtr. Missed Cripps hand over and then the last down field and missed who it should have gone too. Blue coloured glasses, re perplexed and lucky. But **** I'll take it. Evened out in the end. Curnow was a beast all game, love TDK's work, was a big task and he kept on going. Newnes, Newnes, Newnes. Glad he held ground and told the photographers etc to piss off and allow his run up. Great composure to clear area and kick truly. Was a pretty scrappy game and it took us a while to just try and gain meterage and we were getting done on the outside for a while. Slowly pegged it back to start winning some contested then outside run. well done Blues.

Jordan lewis never has anything good to say about us

He did tonight. At half time he was bemoaning the bullshit frees in front of goal freo had.

I'm glad someone is pegging around here.

How good is it to have a season alive with 6 games left?

TDK showing the athleticism I reported when he tucked against Grundy in the preseason. Was a ‘wow’ day. He may always be a high impact low possession player. I can assure you the mids would prefer him to Kreuxer or Pitto. That LEAP.
Yep I’ve been waiting for it after watching TDK at Northern, some of those leaps and taps at the centre stoppages were exactly what we’ve been waiting for, the mids must be salivating thinking about the future with him. So happy I’ve forgotten about your Bourke St nudey run Windows.

In all seriousness that is one of the best kicks i’ve ever seen, when you consider not only the pressure but the conditions (most players struggling to strike the ball cleanly, failing to make the distance from 35m out etc).

Just insane from Newnes, so grateful to him for that moment.
Fiddy-five out, after siren, toughest angle at distance on the ground cameraman giving you the s***s.

Jack “just-give-it-to-me-clutch-af” NEWNES.

take a bow!

I don’t get the angst against SPS the majority of his disposals hit a target if he is 20 from goal hits up a team mate at 50 and they have a decision to go inside or down the line
Or you have The Doc kick blindly straight to a fifty fifty or try to hit a target at 30
SPS is best 22 every day of the week and class has time to look for the best option and generally uses it
